QUOTE(Kaka23 @ Oct 13 2014, 11:15 PM) LOLNope, you got it wrong, can whack the whole 15GB WHENEVER you like, there is no limit. The current Maxis WBB plans are all time based, but this isn't because it is an old plan. Guarantee can use anytime of the day or not 100% money back. |

The website is for the current plan. As mentioned in my post, I am offering an old plan which is no longer available for new sign ups. No point referring to the website as what they are offering is not what I am offering. |

It's still too ridiculously expensive.
Add another RM10 you would already get a real fixed line at home from Streamyx which allows you to download like 4-5GB continuously a day without any slowdowns. Better still our neighbour country Thailand sells 10mbps ADSL2+ at RM60 rates.Been downloading Youtube videos and movies at an average 1MB/s to around 800kB/s all day long. It's like haven. Daily traffic rate touching close to 10GB daily without any restrictions as long as the crowd don't build up during peak hours. Still want the 15GB plan for RM120? My takes is that it's not worth it at all. |

What is Maxis marketing this as?
They call it Wireless Broadband. With RM120 for just a stingy 15GB quota this is hardly called fixed internet. You can't call this mobile internet either since it's SIM is not meant to be used freely on any phone but a fixed router device in your house. Is this what the greedy telcos plan to replace all fixed lines in future? An average 2mbps Streamyx user which just cost RM10 more is using around 4GB a day on plain downloading and video streaming. If I apply the same usage habit on this, is plan, will it be only good for me just a week before I'm capped with an almost disabled line for the rest of the month? How much does every gigabyte of data top up cost after this? |

It certainly is mobile in every sense. This is NOT the FWBB that you are referring to. Hope the above clarifies. |

QUOTE(stren89 @ Oct 22 2014, 06:45 AM) It's still too ridiculously expensive. Mate, as mentioned, I think you got it all wrong. The package that I mentioned is not FWBB, it a true Wireless Broadband that goes into broadband dongles and handheld devices. On a separate note, Wireless Broadband in Thailand is way more expensive. Top telco operators like AIS are offering THB 1,700 for 10GB. That's appoximately RM170 for 10GB. Mine is way cheaper in comparison, 15GB for only RM120. Worth to mention again that it is Maxis, the telco operator with the largest subscriber base and coverage in Malaysia.Add another RM10 you would already get a real fixed line at home from Streamyx which allows you to download like 4-5GB continuously a day without any slowdowns.
