yes, supp card's bill is paid by main card holder.

what's your question in the first place? you want to apply under someone's name, which means you want to apply as a supp card holder under a main card holder, that's your question, no?

if yes, of course the main card holder need to present.
*
No i mean, lets say i plan to apply supp card using sibling's name, while me myself is the main card holder... So my siblings need to be present? Or me as main card holder can gao dim all?

I applied 2 supp card for my gf and my mom, just bring back the supp card form and let them sign and get their IC copy. No others doc requried or need them to present when pass back the form.

Card should be approved after 2 weeks i submit the application as i saw extra 2 card number in my HLB online few days ago. But still calling or receive the card yet regarding the approval until today.

means you want to apply "using" someone's name, not "under" someone's name. if that's the case, the person doesn't need to be there. smile.gif

Okok thanks a lot!! biggrin.gif

Today I've noticed one thing, the rebate is credited before the statement date... Reached the cap though.

I wonder normally does the rebate credited as soon as we reached the RM100 cap, regardless of statement date?

No. In fact you will only get it on the 28th of next month !
*
So the 28th is regardless of statement date and the cap?

Btw, let's say if I use the card to pump petrol on 30th of the month, would hlb credit the resulting rebate to my next statement?

if you pump on 30th oct and posted on 1st nov, then the cb will use up your nov cb and be credited on 28th dec.
*
Thanks. Hmm too make it clearer:

Let's say the scenario is like this. I've received RM99 cashback on 28th OCT. Then pumped RM50 petrol on 29th and posted at 30th.

1. Would the RM50 petrol occupy cash back quota (RM100 cap) of october? or november?

2. Hence can I get RM1 cb (oct) or RM5 cb (nov)? Or it just disappears?

Appreciate any opinions smile.gif

You're not understading them well, the cashback on 28th October is for September spending not October spending.

If posted by 30th it will be added to the rest of your october spending and cashback. You will get that in November. If its put in your November amount you will only get it in December.

Ahhhhhh trueee damn I totally forgot about this rule sweat.gif

Thanks for enlightening me!

But the T&C stated otherwise. Read and understand properly.
3. Terms and Conditions of the Programme
(a) The Cash-Back will be calculated at the end of each calendar month equals to 10% (rounded to the nearest Malaysian Ringgit). The cumulated Cash-Back shall be credited monthly to the Cardholder’s account in following month and subject to a maximum Cash-Back of RM100 per month, per account.
The Cash-Back credits may or will be utilized towards any outstanding balances due on the account. For the avoidance of doubt, any Cash-Back due to the Cardholder will be posted in the credit card
account on the 28th of the following month and reflected in the Cardholder’s Statement. In the event the Cash-Back due to the Cardholder falls on or after the date of the Cardholder’s Statement, the Cash-Back will only be reflected in the Cardholder’s Statement in the next following month.

Looks like the beefed up their T&C to be more in favor to them doh.gif
Initially it is following posting date, then transaction posting date. Already argued a lot with the HLB's blind supporters here on this.
So for your case, they can play around with this clause by posting it earlier or later whistling.gif
When is your statement date? Mid month or end of month?
*
I am not blind supporter, but still no doubt their offer is by far the best in the market... tahan je lah sweat.gif

BTW, I am kinda weirdo in statement date, people prefer later but I put 3rd for all my cards lol... scare drag too long difficult to manage...

Read from news that HLB going to degrade their online services, guess this is the first step they are doing.

First year free mer then the agent told me to call the customer service to have it waived after 1 year if i've decided to continue with it.

But yea, didn't quite pay attention to the details cause the booth was there when i was shopping and signed up without any hesitation.  sweat.gif

Too wasted to be treated as emergency card. It gives the highest cash back rate in the market so far.

Basically you need to have strategy to use this bloody card.
1-2 weeks time, complete 10 transactions with rm50.
Then slow down your spending and start calculating.
And when reach 20th, complete rm1000. Usually paying my Maxis bill will be the last part as I can control the spending.
*
Is it so difficult as it sounds? Must complete 10 transactions in 1-2 weeks la then slow down la and calculate la bla bla...

Petrols, groceries (including touch n go top up), mobile, utilities can be done in RM50 transactions very easily. And why must reach 20th? The RM50 spendings are "minimum rm50", not "must be rm50". 10xRM50 + 2xRM250 also RM1000 what.

As for the spending control (below 1000 to avoid wastage), just monitor ur transaction record/outstanding balance online once in a while will do. After reached 1000 then start using secondary card. Easy.

good selections! if you unable to achieve rm100 cb, just buy voucher and then spend it when:
1) cc terminal down at the place you want to pay
2) your cb for a certain month is full (festive seasons, etc)
*
Or sometimes can overpay mobile phone bills smile.gif

This is to make sure I'm getting rm100 of cash back.
My highest record to get a transaction posted is 9 days doh.gif
Most of the groceries I won't buy during end of month, so for the first 2 weeks, I can easily hit 10 transactions.
Like now I'm working in overseas, it will be faster when I'm back home again.
Usually first 10 I don't really bother much, rm50-100 per transaction.
*
I usually only make sure i got cashback around RM95-100, then start using second card which gives me 5% cash back... Makes my life easier tongue.gif

5%, which card?
*
MBB amex. Good for petrol and groceries (and anywhere else that support amex)

Hence I got RM100 (HLB Wise) + RM50 (MBB Amex) = RM150 cashback cap each month. Not to mention I got a tertiary card UOB One to absorb all "others" spending (which neither fall into 3 Wise categories nor supports amex) at 0.3% cashback uncapped, and usually manage to get a few ringgits from it every month lol.

Standing in petrol station might be good, but the transactions must be done on the pump's terminal. So if the fellow pay you rm50 and pump rm52 and he refuse to pay rm2, then you will in trouble.
I still feel buying Milo and sell out is better as my order always got more than others.
Nope, my spending are fixed at rm1000 max for STUPID and balance all with MBB dual cards.
STUPID for petrol, groceries and Maxis while MBB for TNB, Screamyx and other spending.
MBB's dual card, if most of your spending can use AMEX, it is close to 6%. Get slightly more if you changing to AeonBig's gift card and spend on 28th each month.
UOB's T&C are quite complicated, that's why I never take it. If getting few rm only each month, it is not enough to offset GST.
*
Dont say it stupid la, afterall it is good enough for u to choose it as ur primary card right tongue.gif

UOB's AF and GST can be easily waived, that's why i retained the card. Ya T&C complicated for 5% petrol, thats why i only utilise its 0.3% for "others" category.

better use OCBC for "others" spending to get 1% CB

Yaya it is indeed better, just that it is harder to get GST waiver than UOB... which might be a significant risk. Else I would prefer OCBC too biggrin.gif

I see an alternative here. HLB Essential for 1% uncapped and MBB2 Amex for 5x tp (equavalent to 2%, at least before 1st March). Best part is MBB2 Amex can be used for petrol transaction which HLB Essential does not cover.
LOL, just LOL.
*
In fact i got MBB Amex as my second card to cover misses from HLB Wise... UOB is my third card for occasional big spending. I will take a look at HLB essential then smile.gif Easy waiver?
