I know, agent told me gst cannot waive when i apply so I'm OK to pay that since been told upfront. It's not correct for them to directly terminate my card.

Now surveying citibank/hsbc credit card.

You should know that this card can only spend rm900-1000, can't be more or less.
Why still want to auto debit it? As it is diluting your cash back.

what do you mean by this card can only spend RM900-1000?

Why you want to spend more than rm1000 or lesser than rm990 on this card where it only gives you 8.25% of cash back and no other benefits?
Just say if you only spend rm500, that's only 5% of cash back.
If you spend rm1500, cash back also same at 5%.
And with rm210 of AF and GST that you must pay, assuming if you always spend rm500 a month(that's rm6000 a year), you are getting rm600 of cash back.
After paying the fees, that's only 3.25%.

Just to correct on your calculation :-

RM500 x 12 = RM6,000

Cash Rebate = RM600

Net Rebate (RM600-RM210) = RM390

Effective CB Rate (RM390/RM6000) x 100 = 6.50%

That's if you are taking rm6000, I'm taking rm12000 icon_idea.gif
For a person that can only spend rm500 for a credit card every month, their spending won't be falling to the preset categories. Taking this in to account, the actual cash back are much lesser.
As I said before, this is good as 2nd card only with your average spending about rm1500-2000 a month.

Please do bear in mind AF is not waivable. For emergency use, you should pick a card without AF
