Just wondering.. a thread cannot go over 199 pages isit? I wonder what is the reason ...

I guess it would be great if there is no limit for the pages in a thread..

Technical reasons. The database cost for reading a topic is proportional to the number of posts it contains. For example, we take 1500ms to serve 50 DB queries for that 4000-post topic (30ms/page), while a 50 queries for a 500-post topic takes only 250ms (5ms/page).

There is also the difficulty of archiving such a giant topic.

Besides, a giant topic like that will be less useful as information is scattered all around it, with no cues as to where it begins or ends.

Alright. I get that. But there are very useful information in that thread. I hope the thread does not get purged due to no activity.

I guess new o2 mini users will get quiet good information from that thread. So it would be great if that thread does not get purged

when you create a new thread(v2),you can bring the information from the first thread over to the new one

it would be best if they can be compiled,for easy viewing
