I was diagnosed with Putuitary Tumor as big as 3cm. The tumor is pressing on my optic chiasm and causing my visual blurring.

Can I still request my neurosurgeon to issue MC for me to rest at home for 1 month even if I don't want to perform surgery? My daily office work becomes burdening as my eyesight is no longer good. It is difficult for me to read documents / laptop.

Appreciate if anyone can advise me.

Thanks.

I'm 32 yrs old. I'm now undergoing the kentogenic diet as recommended by my friend who did not operate removing tumor but heal after 1 month by starting the diet.

I did not have the chance to speak to my surgeon requesting MC as his assistant rejected my request immediately through phone call when she learnt that I refused to do surgery immediately.

I'm puzzled. Should the doctor respect my decision and issue MC according to my condition?

If your employer approves, you can request your doctor to write it.

The surgeon gave me about two weeks off after hemorrhoids surgery
over a decade ago, but when I had came down with complications and
a high fever as well after that, he gave me another two.

It was alright with my employer.
Why are you not going for surgery ?  It is inevitable, and the tumor
will just keep growing.

As I believe in human natural healing capability and kentogenic diet (with lots of info reseach), I choose to give myself a chance to go for 3-4 months. It's been 2 months since I was diagnosed with the pituitary tumor and it has not grown as shown in my 2nd MRI results.

My employer has no objection on my long medical leave. They just request me to get MC from doctor. And, I don't understand why neurosurgeon's assistant refused to help me to get doctor's MC when I request so.

Hi Tham,

Thank you very much on the info shared. Appreciate much for your kind help.

I went to Gleneagles KL for Dr. Chee Chee Pin to seek for second opinion since I learnt that he's specialized in Gamma Knife.

But he advised that my case is not suitable for Gamma Knife. I was recommended to remove the tumor by going thru my nasal. Subsequent treatment would be CynerKnife for the remaining tumor which couldn't be removed during surgery.

I think you can request MC from doctor. What doctor's advice for that tumor?

Doctor's advice for me is to get operations as soon as possible.

Does it mean that doctor can reject my MC request if i refuse to do operations?
