true ive been told some ppl quit oredi coz the destiny rng can be very discouraging...  their 10 year plan maybe will work for 10 months only kot haha

It actually does happen whenever you are near the hobgoblins. This has been like this around even before any patch came about. You will get the Burn state when you are very near to them.

Raids in mmo are in a similar fashion to what Destiny is. I can assure raids in most MMOs are rather lengthy. Grinding will never run away from MMOs, it is part of the system. Most developers these days will make the grind less obvious. Most put up  incentives here and there and some ways to make you feel you are progressing somewhere and some put up things like randomized events that just happen anywhere just so you got some other distraction for you to do whilst your grinding.

As for Destiny, there are pros and cons to their approach to which most of us can see it already by now. The RNG does serve one of it's purpose which is to prolong the attention to players to keep coming back again. If they change it whereby things are not as difficult as it is then even entering the second month of the game, people might have gotten pretty much the game has to offer and players will not come back to the game very often anymore. It is even more so when you consider the fact that the item database for Destiny is not very large yet

Hive raid with lots of Lv30/Lv32 Thralls rushed at you backed by few Lv30/32 Knights trying to smash your face in, while a few Lv30/32 Wizards floating around shooting missiles at you? 

I think this will make the The Summoning Pits nightfall like Disneyland

It has been revealed during the development of the game, the initial idea was each race will start on a different area. All 3 races are resurrected the same way. However due to so much change, it ended up with the Exo's intro to be generalized for all 3 races. If you think about it, you are revived at a scrapyard area and exo are robot race so it made tons of sense.

Tell that to Activision and Bungie lol

Who knows? probably in near future they gonna release the so called Definitive version of Destiny?

I was using Hawkmoon for both PvP and PvE then I switch to Fatebringer for PvE because I am too lazy to headshot trash mobs. Explosive round spray ftw, simply body shot also clear faster than Hawkmoon.

I still prefer Hawkmoon 2 hit in crucible but the FB explosive round ability to damage enemy behind cover is pretty sweet. Shoot ground also can hit them
