I suggest looking for a guide that shows the map of an area as well. Watching the vids is one thing but knowing where the oracles spawn and where's the thing that you need to be protecting would help you from getting lost in the Vault of Glass.

Level 25 can join the raid, but whether he can survive or not is another story. The mobs at the gate are level 26. This mean a level 25 will do less damage to a level 26 and take more damage from the mobs.

Just so you know, the game is on separate server for different console. You can't play with ps4 players.

This is a multiplayer game, in fact you need a mic to communicate efficiently for high level content i.e raid.
Matchmaking are available for most of the content but high level activity there's no matchmaking. If you solo the game I dont think you would enjoy it in the long run. The raid is the most fun part of the game at the moment, so get to know people here and add them to your friendlist so you can get into the fun as well.

A word of advice, this game is not for casuals in my opinion. Do read about it first before deciding.

Sorry bro forgot to reply. I dont vog much yet, already have a static team, a casual one, we took a few days to get to atheon, not rushing lol. If you need a filler just sent invite, I do like to shoot stuffs in vog though, very fun.

As of right now, there's no role whatsoever of being in a clan. You still need to add manually people into your psn friendlist to be able to see and join them in a fireteam on the go. Best way right now to get fireteam member fast is to pm ninja to put your name under the ps3 player list in front.

Join the fb group for destiny as well. Think it's listed in the front page as well. A number of ps3 players are listed there as well.

Just so you know you wouldnt do max damage at atheon part because mobs are level 27 because of the scaling.
i.e your weapon wouldnt do 300 damage on level 27 mobs. Some people didnt know of the scaling.

Then by right only those in VoG would have problem, ni dok syok nak finish daily story mission suddenly dc before the last group of mob. And I so hated this part of the storyline, damn minotaurs and hobgoblin snipers in a closed confined areas

Also I think that loot drop are storyline progression related as well. i had two alts leveled to 20+ before reaching mars. All my loot drops are green even from crucible rewards.

That's why people are making alts. 3 character doing the weekly and nightfall every week.
Efficient way : All characters are the same class so you can share the loots in btw character, more mats to upgrade just one set of armour. Faster.

Casual way : Different classes just to add variety to your game. Time consuming as this uses different set of gear.

The choice is yours.
