I really liked Lenovo phones. Especially Vibe UI, more like XiaoMi phones. I owned before a P780, I could say Lenovo phones are what you paid what you get unlike overpriced Samsung. But 1 point I don't like about Lenovo is. Their english translation sucks, if you use Chinese language but then is fine.

Agree language can be changed but it reverts back to Chinese once you do another OTA update.  No?

I bought my A806 from directd. the problem is it preinstalled with many useless chinese apps. they are under system app that can't be uninstall. and sometimes the phone can be very unresponsive even i just want to open the Contact page...i suspect the OS is really not optimize with the hardware. I just don't get the "smoothness" of what an Octa core suppose to offer

I found a bug from my phone too. when i pull down the notification bar, and press the "MOre" option, it will keep prompt out this message "Notification Center is not working". I cannot cancel this message and I force to do factory reset, which wipe out all user data

I have not tried the LTE. I think the 3G connection quality is average only. Compare to previous model A706, battery life improve a bit. I just think with a good OS only it can fully utilize the potential of the Octa core processor

I also don't think it is good for gaming because of touch screen is not sensitive enough - this is what you get for this price. 

Now Redmi Note also got 4G model, maybe I should look for one

Introduction
So the high-end called device reaches Malaysia as an AP set as Lenovo Malaysia hasn't launched it yet for Malaysia. The powerful phone feature for you a 720p HD display, 1.7GHz Octa Core Mediatek processor, 16GB internal storage combined with 2GB RAM. Since it was released in July 2014 it came pre-loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat I was pleased with that.  Lets see how it performs on our tests.

Design
As I took out the box i found the box was a bit light than the normal Lenovo phone boxes I've had. Well... that's no problem. The device had a cheap plastic glossy back, a large camera with dual flash and a clear display. The width was a bit thick and heavy but I didn't mind because I was thinking about power . The buttons on the side of the Lenovo A806 felt very cheap The whole phone was a finger-print magnet.

Screen
The display of the Lenovo A8 equppied with a 320dpi and the 720p HD display was a bit higher than satisfying. When I turned on the phone for the first time I hated the display immediately but luckily Lenovo built-in it's Screen Color Enhancer. After I set the colors and settings the display was awesome I felt TRUE HD on the RM500+ smartphone. Everything was very clear with good color saturation.Maybe you might not like the display on this review but in real life when you see the display it is way better than your expectations.

Performance
This is where the phone shines. The Lenovo A806 equipped with an Octacore 1.7GHz Mediatek processor, 2GB Ram and Mali 450MP graphics GPU is the perfect choice for a smartphone gamer. I was really impressed that the phone almost everytime has 1.4GB RAM free. The phone easily plays Subway Surfers, Minion Rush and other casual games . That's not it. It can run Dead Trigger 3 and Asphalt 8 fluently without any lag. However the shame is that it heats up quickly when playing games resulting in a lower battery life.Antutu clearly shows how good the phone is. It easy scores around the 30000 mark showing off its power abilities. Mine scored 32000.


Camera
Well the 13-megapixel shooter offers just fine qualitry. When photos are zoomed in they pixelate on the mobile. Well after optimizing the screen. The colors on the photos look great. Some time the autofocus does not work as well for some little far areas. In taking salt lamp pictures(AS IT IS MY BUSINESS) the salt lamps were looking ackward by tinting the photos purple or white but dont worry the camera is not damaged or something HAHA

The selfie camera however produces good colors but makes them blurry at times. When held at a distance for selfies that is where the front camera is good at. It produces good/decent photos.

I like to have this kind of lenovo. but then, before i came here..im google other forum and feedback from users. most of them are really dispointed with USSD code like, *118# (for celcom), *100# (for maxis). they said it cant be reach.  do you face the same problem? May i know whether this model got external storage (memory/sd card) slot (up to 32GB)? Some specs said yes. but some said no.
One more thing, may u  share the shop name that u bought from? website/mobile contact/any information bout that shop. i think you get the better one. tenkiuuuu.
