A friend of a friend of mine always salam and cium my hand whenever we bid goodbye.

Sure ayam very flattered, but being not malay and not used to this I feel shy shy.

He is not a kid but maybe he think ayam too unker already so I deserve the respects. Don't know wanna rage or not.

I also dunno which culture coz arab prefer cheek to cheek contact. Maybe indian culture coz Tanah Melayu culture mostly root from there.

From my understanding, it is a sign a respect to those older than u. Like Godfather Al Pacino level of respect.

If younger dude salam and not cium ur hand, he is rude and punishable by "budak takda adab" sentence.

No dosa or pahala for these thing. But same level as u shake hand with americano or bow your head to jepunis.
