and for the drivers under driver manager, should i update every single one of it?

usually this is not necessary, but you can try update all drivers in your computer first. check out the support webpage for your laptop and find out if they posted updated bios/drivers.
i'm running local user account, and i have no problem with locking.

not that long

around 5 minutes to boot up to the desktop screen quite fast compared to Vista 10 mins

how long does it take for you that you say is slow?

my windows 8.1 , gets everything done in about 1-2mins. what i really meant slow was, from the logo page , to the password typing page, is very slow , the loading circle runs for more than 3 mins jz on that page. that is my concern

how about these suggestions

- after logging in go find and download ccleaner
then go to this section and the purpose is to help see what is in your STARTUP
that is unnecessary taking time to load - DISABLE as many as you think you don't need
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

yes there are other ways to check startup entries but I just am suggesting ccleaner
bcos of other features and functions that will help speed up your system

- another thing that may or may not be the culprit is about using or about the
ability of SPINRITE

I cant elaborate lots here but SPINRITE will 'right' your hdd so that read and write
is optimized bcos many a time the waiting circle means high read times for accessing your hdd

high reads means that the files are not only not contiguouss but not written correctly *maybe bcos your hdd is old or you upgraded from an older ver of win to win 10 and hence there are data displacement

the last point also a reminder to REMOVE the old windows if youre not going to revert to your previous OS

saves space and reduce unnecessary hdd head movement for reads

thanks alot for your feedback n help. will try those out . cheers smile.gif

also I remember that some expert here mention to use local login

are you using local login or email account?

local login should and would log you into your system faster

hence you should wait less for that circle thing

if you are already using local account then maybe this will help a bit more

after logging in RIGHT CLICK the START ICON (right side bottom)
then click COMPUTER MANAGEMENT -- Services and Application - select SERVICES

then disable services which are hogging your resources. lot of services whose startup type are “Automatic” or “Automatic (Delayed Start)“. Some of them can be safely turned to “Manual” or “Disabled”.

then try to read and follow these advice (which is originally for win8 but win10 applicable as well)
http://www.blackviper.com/service-configur...configurations/

if you are still too lazy to do all these then find and download or buy Yamicosoft's Windows 10 manager

http://www.yamicsoft.com/windows10manager/index.html

click here click there it will OPTIMIZE your Win 10 and you wont have to wait 5 mins like me anymore

I just am a poorfag I have the knowledge but no moolah to buy

youre not like me I'm sure

will try these out as well. thanks for heads up.
