So guys now I have the $windows. Bt folder in my c drive, I've checked the folder size ad it'd 6.5gb file size and 5gb plus on disk size. But my windows 10 upgrade app won't let me update yet. What can I do now? Just wait or?

Why is it asking for a product key? i used the media creation tool and downloaded the iso, mounted it on my hdd and ran the setup. And this is what it shows blink.gif

i dont know my windows version cos it's oem from lenovo lol, this is the lenovo y510p btw. So now i'm using the upgrade option instead.

yeah the windows 10 installation files u downloaded in iso form, u extract it to ur desktop or whatever. Then run the setup and upgrade

it will activate automatically they said, after u finish installing windows 10. Im still upgrading mine lol

You can only do fresh install after you upgrade it.  You need to upgrade your device to windows 10 first before your device is validated as Windows 10 device.  Once it is validated, a unique key (not product key) is generated.

From this, you can use the iso or the bootable USB windows 10 media, to do fresh install.  If its prompting a product key, you must use the generic windows 10 product key which available from MS for each respective version.  You'll windows will be activated as MS already know your device based on the unique key generated and stored by MS server.
