QUOTE(xoxokuang @ Dec 2 2015, 12:26 PM) hii guys. just updated to windows 10 a few days ago. However, i notice the boot up time is damn long ( 3 mins ) or more sometimes.Anyone facing the same issue? any solution? usually this is not necessary, but you can try update all drivers in your computer first. check out the support webpage for your laptop and find out if they posted updated bios/drivers.and for the drivers under driver manager, should i update every single one of it? QUOTE(Kokokrunch_1 @ Dec 2 2015, 12:43 PM) guys, i'm running local user account, and i have no problem with locking.any issue with when you lock your windows (win+L)? Seems my PC not responsive every time i lock it. |

QUOTE(xoxokuang @ Dec 2 2015, 11:17 PM) also I remember that some expert here mention to use local loginare you using local login or email account? local login should and would log you into your system faster hence you should wait less for that circle thing if you are already using local account then maybe this will help a bit more after logging in RIGHT CLICK the START ICON (right side bottom) then click COMPUTER MANAGEMENT -- Services and Application - select SERVICES then disable services which are hogging your resources. lot of services whose startup type are “Automatic” or “Automatic (Delayed Start)“. Some of them can be safely turned to “Manual” or “Disabled”. then try to read and follow these advice (which is originally for win8 but win10 applicable as well) http://www.blackviper.com/service-configur...configurations/ if you are still too lazy to do all these then find and download or buy Yamicosoft's Windows 10 manager http://www.yamicsoft.com/windows10manager/index.html click here click there it will OPTIMIZE your Win 10 and you wont have to wait 5 mins like me anymore I just am a poorfag I have the knowledge but no moolah to buy youre not like me I'm sure |

QUOTE(delsoo @ Dec 3 2015, 10:31 AM) By right your friend have 2 options. If the previous w10 was activated successfully, and no hardware changes were done, your friend should be able to do a clean install of w10 and get it activated automatically online. MS server should have collected the information about his computer and hence the online activation should be working. I can confirm this one works because i just did a clean install on my computer yesterday and it got activated when it was online. Automatically. Another one is to revert to old os, and call ms directly for help. Like i said before, recovery options depend on what you have done to prepare for the worst. The more efforts you put in, the more choices you have. If you don't do it at all, your options are limited. |

QUOTE(delsoo @ Dec 3 2015, 11:11 AM) it's a suggestion. i don't have a clue how your friend set his computer up, so he should adjust what he should do to his computer accordingly. for instance, he try system reset, then try activate it online. if it failed, he can also format the os partition and related system partitions, and reinstall w10. worst comes to worst, use diskpart > clean to get rid of everything, and do a clean install.all in all, please at least make a full data backup. if the data drive is a separate disk, just unplug it physically from the computer to avoid potential tragedies, like deleting wrong partitions/drives/etc. during the process. |
