Working holidays seems to be very popular among ang mo. Even there are Malaysian who are looking for working holiday. They would prefer to go to overseas. Since our country has so many places with nice scenery. Why not have it locally????
* Additional comment: Assuming the host is providing food and accommodation in exchange for your work where ZERO payment is expected from you.

No la.... Got some provide food and stay. Work 4-5 hours a day. After that, you're free. If the host is good, they might even take you out to show you around. I tried a few. Not bad for me.
Don't compare those case where you work, some more have to pay the host la. That of coz is "find ppl stupid"....

What kind of work are you offering to them?
Lots of matsallehs are already on working holiday (either legally or illegally) on the many islands on West and East Malaysia.

Do housekeeping ar... help construction ar... painting ar.... landscape ar.... But since the working holiday does not involve money, some country doesnt even require a working visa. Just tourist visa will do.

If you manage to find people who are interested to come to Malaysia to gain experience in those industry I guess. But if you're talking about those stuffs, what is stopping them from doing those stuffs back in their home country? Those matsallehs on the islands come here to work in the watersport industry, help out in nature projects and enjoy the tropical weather, which its consider paradise to them especially those from cold countries.
