First and foremost, opening a sales thread specifically to sell Steam games thru the Steam Gifts method is against Steam's terms of service. Quote from Steam Gifts - Trading and Gifting - Knowledge Base - Steam Support...
Second, that is why we have a Stream trading thread in this forum: Entertainment -> Gamers Hideout -> Steampowered and Valve Games -> Steam Trading Thread V2, Still trading gifts? as not to violate that Steam terms of service, through direct trading. Thus by opening a sales thread specifically to sell those Steam Gifts clearly violates their terms of service.
Third, its clear as day that the thread starter is not an official appointed Steam game reseller. The official authorised resellers are: Amazon.com, Game.co.uk, Gamefly, GamersGate, PlayAsia, etc. And the thread starter's shop is not in this list.
Fourth, these Steam Gifts still fall under game accounts as well as game items. Each game "sold" is its own account and that includes the unique activation code/key allocated to that game. This is similar to selling activation code/keys for Microsoft products (which is illegal and can be legally pursued by the BSA and Microsoft themselves). This is the reason we have this: **Gamers Hideout Rules and Regulations**, Return to the forum...And also Trade Zone -> Garage Sales Helpdesk -> Resource Centre -> [RULES] Trade Zone Rules & Etiquette, Do read this from time to time # Prohibited items...And these specifically relates to games bought online. These does not apply to games bought in retail boxes/packages from shops and/or as second hand items.
Whatever the fact that may be (Steam's TOS), it does not apply to this forum. The rules here are against reselling Steam accounts and not Steam Games. Previous moderators have not found any fault with the other numerous Steam game resellers on this forum until lornawhizz decided to go on a reporting spree against his competitors. You are overreaching yourself by banning things which aren't stated in the rules just to cater to this one guy who himself is a reseller.Second, that is why we have a Stream trading thread in this forum: Entertainment -> Gamers Hideout -> Steampowered and Valve Games -> Steam Trading Thread V2, Still trading gifts? as not to violate that Steam terms of service, through direct trading.
