Kors is a "barely there" name. Not considered designer, more or less on the same tier as Coach. Think you should base your decision on what you're after, do you like the design a lot? Are you seeking a "designer" bag or are you just going for a lesser known name?
Can't comment on Kors' craftsmanship as I don't own any, but think it shouldn't be much lower than Coach honestly.

I've been using one for two years now. Looks as good as new. So quality wise definitely worth it. But I suggest you buy it online. MK prices in Malaysia are quite high.
