There would definitely be quite a boom in the FIFA 17 population this time around as it uses the new physics engine, and everyone has been anticipating this year's release. So, there shouldn't be any shout of a doubt about finding opponents especially at launch, but probably a little less as we progress towards the end of the season. 500gb would be extra sufficient if you only play FIFA, but no worries as you can use approved external drives in the future in case you needed to install more variety of games.
