if sdcard, take out plug into pc, d/l recuva and try recover.
if internal hp memory, ask someone with forensic knowledge...

1. DO NOT USE THE PHONE. using the phone causes read/ write to memory which will reduce the chance of recovery by experts.

2. If she uses Google Photos or Google Drive or Dropbox, etc... check from the WEBSITE and see if the photo sync functions were enabled and sync was done.

3. if confirmed really everything is only on the phone, then remove external card (if she uses it) and check from a PC to see if the camera apps was configured to save to memory card instead.

4. if really all the above don't have the photos, not sure if you can send to "forensic" experts who can try to recover data. i know this can be done for some harddisks, etc... but flash drives like those on the phone, more difficult.

5. you can also try to install apps and see (i'm no expert on such apps) but i do know that the more times read/ write is done on the phone (meaning using the phone) then the harder it is to recover the files.

The more you use the phone, the more you reduce the chances of recovering the photos.

The internal storage partition (/sdcard/) is used by apps, as well as for storing downloads, music, photos and videos.

The photos can be recovered from your Samsung Galaxy Note as long as they space they currently occupy has not been overwritten by new files.

so you need to restore Samsung deleted photos as soon as possible

Agree, if you use the phone or update phone data after the phone data lost , the deleted data so easy be covered with other data , in this situation, you have not chance to restore deleted phone data ,

If you have synced the data before, you can recover from the backup file. If not, I think you should not add more data to your device anymore. It is better for you to try some professional recovery methods to recover deleted photos.

If you delete photos from your Samsung and your didn't backup for these photos , to restore deleted photos from Samsung , you have to scan the phone memory before these pictures are overwritten

Well, whether photos were saved on phone’s internal storage or external SD card you can still restore your lost or deleted photos even if your phone has been factory reset.

You can use any appropriate Android Data recovery software for that.

Note: You must stop using your Galaxy Note 2 after the deletion or loss of photos, adding new data on the device will reduce the chance for recovery.

Looks like most of the recovery software needs the affected RN4 to be rooted for effective recovery of the deleted photos in the Gallery. Pls advise me b4 I proceed with this:
1. Unlocking the RN4 takes how many days and need to request thru Mi account?
2. What is the function of "Mi Unlock Status" in Developer Option?
3. Is Kingroot safe n effective in rooting RN4? According to a youtube video it is simple to use.
4. I manage to list the content of the RN4 using Windows Explorer but when using Recuva it doesnt detect it as a drive but I can transfer the RN4's content to the PC. The RN4 is in USB debugging mode but not rooted yet.

Anyone has tried this to recover deleted photos from gellary in RN4?

https://youtu.be/Tl6TR5_3Jak

Is it safe to use such method as it will root the phone b4 recovering and then unroot once finishes?
