The idea was to refurbish the original window which was really puny. It also had a plastic window which was all scratched up n the mounting nuts were also loose n falling off. So what I did was to chop off the old window completely n make a whole new XL sized window but also maintain the 2 intake fans.
Here's how it looks like b4 modding.

Masked up, marked n in the process of cutting the window panel.

Side panel n acrylic all cut n ready for mounting.

Just a couple of shots to show the cut edges. For sum reason the focus was not what I wanted. I dunno y it's so difficult for the autofocus to focus on shiny black panels. It just wudn't autofocus properly n I had to force focus it n this is the best I cud get of the sides. The edges in these pix r still shining after my final detailing work. The final look is actually black edges coz I painted the edges black to prevent rust in the long term. This is becoz the quality of the metal on this panel is not as good as the branded cases. On the branded cases I leave the edges shining.

Voila! The finished XL size window with dual 80mm intake fans right over the gfx card area. If u look carefully thru the fans u'll c I also made sum of my sexay stocking+mesh fan filters so that the gfx card doesn't choke on dust after a while.

Wheeeeeeee. Now that this is finished n my neck feels a lot better now. It's time to get down to Saving Private Joshiet.
