Hi guys, anyone of u has the old iPad 2? I get "no Service" message after updating it to iOS 8.0...

I will have to restart my iPad to get back my cellular service. It would go back to "No Service" after a day, and I will have to restart it again.

Anyone has this issue on their iPad 2 or other iPad ?

I'm having the same problems. Will update to the latest iOS 8.0.2 and see if the problem persists

It is a known fact that OTA update might cause some issues with your device. Tried updating via iTunes yet ?

That's the 8.0 bug. Fix by updating to 8.0.1 or 8.0.2

yea I tot it was the 8.0.1 bug... but it happens to 8.0 it seems, but strangely it's not so popular that no one report this issue on the internet...

anyway, updated to 8.0.2 and it's running fine now it seems....

However, I'm still curious why no one report this bug on the internet.... only on 8.0.1....

How is iOS 8 on iPad 2? I am still running iOS6 for my ipad 2..

It's slower than iOS 6 that's for sure. However the new features in my opinion is worth it. However, there will be some lag which you will get used to it. It's liveable.

One thing you need to note is when you start the iPad 2 or reboot it, after you see the Apple Logo during th startup, the screen will go blank or dark. The iPad is still starting up. After awhile, it will go to the home screen

while ios7 on my ipad2, it is still quite smooth, everything runs nicely.... The ios 8 fark things up... I'm a bit regret updating, should have just stayed on ios7

btw, you should have update to ios7 if you're on ios6.... cuz the ios7 is running really nicely on my ipad2

I still face the same problem. "No service" even after updating to iOS 8.0.2

Update: same here after a day.... I tot problem solved, but at night I saw no service again.... damn sad

8.1 is available now, maybe should give it a try ...

My just upgrade to 8.1 just now .. Testing .. Ipad 2 ..

Please let us know the result, as compare with ios7 ...

Yeah .. I think iOS 7 is way better than iOS 8.1 .. My safari now is laggy .. Facebook still acceptable ..but laggy ..and most of the old games app are working fine .. Only thing I found out that is when pm someone in lowyat ..it's lag awhile then go back to home screen ..but sometime does not happen .. I do think is a bug or my ipad 2 can't support 8.1 .. Overall is still slow when compare to iOS 7 . A bit regret after upgrade . Just my opinion .

I been uisng from morning till now .. Telco still showing service . Btw I'm using celcom . And just upgrade to 8.1 . Will be kept on monitor .

I am still undecided whether to upgrade my ipad 2 or not. My last upgrade from ios 6 to ios also the same thing, but after upgraded to ios 7, actually not bad, i like the new interface, performance wise still ok. So i think i might just stay on ios 7 a while longer ...

Just done my update OTA on 8.1.1 .. It's improved de .. Better than the 8.1 . Those who updated in 8.1 for their ipad 2 , I highly recommend to update the latest one .

Format my ipad and update to latest ios, the service error gone.... But still a bit lag compare to ios 7... I think ipad 2 is not suitable on ios8... If most apps still can run on ios7, dont bother to update to ios8.... I think they want to force us to buy the new ipad.... -.-
