Assalamualaikum. I just discovered this thread. Harap2 dapat belajar banyak ilmu2 dan pengajaran from this thread. I'm not exactly the most religious muslim in the world but I would love to learn more about my own faith after experiencing a crisis of faith years ago. Happy to say that I'm finally going for my first umrah next week.

No need to feel embarrassed, bro. I myself would just recite surah An-Nas and surah Al-Ikhlas for first and second rakaats whenever Im leading in prayer. Most of the time, you're leading as an imam at your office's surau or shopping malls where people do not expect you to recite lengthy surah. They just want to get it done quick while still getting the pahala/good deed of a jemaah prayer.
