QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 12 2015, 10:18 AM) that's because of modern islam scholars. but my religious muslim friends told me that actually is the core and basic foundation of islam. which is to defeat infidels and sacrifice yourself by any means by the name of allah. but as time changes and muslims became modernised, many are afraid to die nor sacrifice . which is why those who sacrificed themself to infidels are highly looked upon and saluted by many muslims.when 9-11 was bombed many of my muslim friends say they get what they deserve and only a few modern muslims like u think it is not right Your muslim friend is wrong. There is no need to defeat any infidels if the infidels do not have any intention to harm you. Yes, muslims are allowed to take arms and defend themselves but it's just the same as in other community, be they religious or not. 'Turning the other cheek' is neither practical not logical. However, even in the events of war muslims are commanded to show restrained. Why there are verses of war in he Qur'an ? Because there were no such thing as Geneva Convention back then and warfare was conducted without restrained. From 6k+ verses in the Qur'an however, only around 10 are about war. While I do not condone 9/11, I did admit that when I watch CNN that very morning it happened, my first though was "Now the Americans understand how Iraqi civillians felt". (It happened after the first Desert Storm). However, even if the deeds were done by muslims (or people who happened to eb born as muslims / conspiracy theorist aside) their actions were not the conduct commanded by the Qur'an. The basic principle according to Islam is simple. Only fight those who fight you (actual combatant). While the Pentagon may be a valid military target, using civilian plane is not a valid method. In Islam, the end does not justify the means. |

QUOTE(xein @ Feb 12 2015, 10:44 AM) In my opinion. Bombing is a NO in islam. If I remember correctly, among the rule in war thought by the messenger muhammad is to not attack children, women, and old people who can not fight. Another is not to attack the face. Sudden mass killing is not the way of islam. That is not entirely correct. Muhammad's form of warfare is only applicable during Muhammad's time. However the principle is the same. All non combatants (including women, children, old people and people who takes sanctuary in places of worship) are never to be harmed. However how one fight should not be strictly medieval. It's idiotic. To me using a sword for war is much more civillized than bombing, sniping, chemical weapons. You get to see the enemy face to face, feel the heavy burden of killing, and at least have the last chance to ucap 2 kalimah syahadah. The mordern warfare takes out the humanity in war. What's left is destruction and senseless killings. |

QUOTE(xein @ Feb 12 2015, 10:55 AM) The core of islam must never be change! Your understanding of the core of islam seems to extend into the tradition and culture of race/ethnics. Indeed. What is the core of Islam ? The 5 Rukun Islam and the 6 Rukun Iman. That is all. The rest are mere details with differences are between the schools of thoughts. Some ethnics' tradition change their interpretation of the teachings of islam but that does not mean the core is changed. Overtime some of their traditions became synonym with islam that they thought that it is a must. For example in Malaysia Malay weddings have adat bersanding and malam berinai. At the end of the 80's these traditions were still thought to be islam teachings but in reality it is just a Malay tradition based from the Indian wedding. |

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Feb 12 2015, 12:42 PM) People who wanna fight that way should just play mediaval MMO and Mediaval total war and settle everything digitally Core Islamic Beliefs: Six Articles of FaithMind to enlighten me what is The core of islam? More than a billion Muslims share a common set of fundamental beliefs that are described as "Articles of Faith." These articles of faith form the foundation of Islamic belief system. 1. Belief in One God: The most important teaching of Islam is that only God is to be served and worshipped. Also, the biggest sin in Islam is to worship other beings with God. In fact, Muslims believe that it is the only sin that God does not forgive if a person dies before repenting from it. 2. Belief in Angels: God created unseen beings called angels who work tirelessly to administer His kingdom in full obedience. The angels surround us at all times, each has a duty; some record our words and deeds. 3. Belief in Prophets of God: Muslims believe that God communicates His guidance through human prophets sent to every nation. These prophets start with Adam and include Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them. The main message of all the prophets has always been that there is only One true God and He alone is worthy of being supplicated to and worshipped. 4. Belief in Revealed Books of God: Muslims believe that God revealed His wisdom and instructions through ‘books’ to some of the prophets like the Psalms, Torah, and the Gospel. Over time, however, the original teachings of these books got distorted or lost. Muslims believe the Quran is God’s final revelation revealed to Prophet Muhammad and has been fully preserved. 5. Belief in Day of Judgment: The life of this world and all that is in it will come to an end on an appointed day. At that time, every person will be raised from the dead. God will judge each person individually, according to his faith and his good and bad actions. God will show mercy and fairness in judgment. According to Islamic teachings, those who believe in God and perform good deeds will be eternally rewarded in Heaven. Those who reject faith in God will be eternally punished in the fire of Hell. 6. Belief in Destiny and Divine Decree: Muslims believe that since God is the Sustainer of all life, nothing happens except by His Will and with His full knowledge. This belief does not contradict the idea of free will. God does not force us, our choices are known to God beforehand because His knowledge is complete. This recognition helps the believer through difficulties and hardships. Core Religious Practice of Islam: The Five "Pillars" of Islam In Islam, worship is part of daily life and is not limited to mere rituals. The formal acts of worship are known as the five "pillars" of Islam. The five pillars of Islam are the declaration of faith, prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage. 1. Declaration of Faith: The "Declaration of Faith" is the statement, "La ilaha illa Allah wa Muhammad Rasul-ullah", meaning "There is no deity worthy of being worship except God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God"). The Declaration of Faith is more than just a statement; it must be shown with one's actions. To convert to the faith of Islam, a person has to say this statement. 2. Daily Prayer: Prayer is a method by which a Muslim connects to God and gathers spiritual strength and peace of mind. Muslims perform five formal prayers a day. 3. Zakah: A type of charity. Muslims recognize that all wealth is a blessing from God, and certain responsibilities are required in return. In Islam, it is the duty of the wealthy to help the poor and needy. 4. Fast of Ramadan: Once each year, Muslims are commanded to fast for an entire month from dawn to sunset. The period of intense spiritual devotion is known as the fast of Ramadan in which no food, drink and sex is allowed during the fast. After sunset one can enjoy these things. During this month Muslims practice self-control and focus on prayers and devotion. During the fast, Muslims learn to sympathize with those in the world who have little to eat. 5. The Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca: Every Muslim strives to make once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage to the sacred sites in Mecca, in present-day Saudi Arabia. It is the most intense spiritual experience for a Muslim. Typically, 2-3 million perform hajj every year.'''' http://www.islamreligion.com/articles/10256/ |

QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 12 2015, 05:04 PM) if the book of life or context has been found, who are they?human clay/sand?the truth is, nobody knows of any occurrences 1400 yrs ago but merely an acclamations created by mankind through then again, words. If you can produce another book that is unaltered and have no revisions then maybe you have a point. Qur'an is easy to verify. Get as many copies as you want from various sources (kedai buku, Amazon, beli kat Rusia/Amerika whatever) and find if you can produce different versions.it could be aliens who came down to earth and witnesses misinterpret. |

QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 13 2015, 12:50 PM) and who is gabriel?messenger of god? or merely a god messenger interpretation? Gabriel QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 13 2015, 12:50 PM) centuries ago people believe the sun is a god. but as technology takes over, everyone knows the sun is just planet of glowing gases therefor no longer worshipping the sun. Not just centuries. Even today people are still praying to the sun. QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 13 2015, 12:50 PM) as for god, there ar no evidence nor proof yet therefor people still believe in something they dont know. The is also no evidence that God did not exist. Since the only sure thing is death, I would rather take Pascal's Wager rather than to find that God actually exist after I'm dead. time will tell, as scientists develop a probe that can be sent billions of miles away to find where our origins has come from. or maybe the us already knew this long ago but remains a secret. as religion is still a necessity for the upbringing of mankind. |

QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 13 2015, 01:08 PM) if i dont believe? what happens? punished? why dont after i die and ask god, why did u not answer to people's prayer and innocents are suffering if u did exists? why am i wrong not to believe in something i don't know? and as an individual, i live a normal life and not committing any crimes or murder anyone.so do i still get punished just for not believing in u? Sure you can do that. I'd rather not believe and question to god if he really did exists in the hereafter. |

QUOTE(Darkcity212 @ Feb 13 2015, 02:57 PM) that means ur not a true muslim believer. a true muslim will convince others to understand and argue about this. i can't talk like this outside because all the muslims are very sensitive about it and first thing they will tell me is that i am dajal. its nice to meet a minority of good muslims like u Whether true or not that's not for me and you to decide. Of couse I may say that I'm a 'true' muslim but then it's quite a paradox because for me you're either muslims or you're not and there's no true or false. I only practice my belief first as I was told and then as I have learn and experience. I did have a phase in my life where I was sceptical too it's pretty easy if you're agnostic than if you're atheistic. I'm not saying that even atheist have 'no chance'. However, if you want to debate about these stuff you should check out the Ethos, Mores et Monastica because you can find many sorts of people there and it's much easier to be open minded. There are probably many others but that's what I'm familar with so I can vouch for that. |

QUOTE(aimank_88 @ Feb 14 2015, 06:23 AM) Im not used to preaching. But the basic understanding is: How the big bang happened ? Why do life exist? How does it exist? Science somehow explains through evolution, and it all comes to the big bang. As astounding and mind boggling how science opens our eyes, it still doesnt explain as to why the big bang happened, and how did the black atom (im not sure what it is particularly, google it) actually was there in the first place. The first matter, to even matter? "Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" 21:30 Long before the Origin of the Species, Ibnu Khaldun wrote in the Muqaddimah : This world with all the created things in it has a certain order and solid construction. It shows nexuses between causes and things caused, combinations of some parts of creation with others, and transformations of some existent things into others, in a pattern that is both remarkable and endless. One should then take a look at the world of creation. It started out from the minerals and progressed, in an ingenious, gradual manner, to plants and animals. The last stage of minerals is connected with the first stage of plants, such as herbs and seedless plants. The last stage of plants, such as palms and vines, is connected with the first stage of animals, such as snails and shellfish which have only the power of touch. The word 'connection' with regard to these created things means that the last stage of each group is fully prepared to become the first stage of the newest group. The animal world then widens, its species become numerous, and, in a gradual process of creation, it finally leads to man, who is able to think and reflect. The higher stage of man is reached from the world of monkeys, in which both sagacity and perception are found, but which has not reached the stage of actual reflection and thinking. At this point we come to the first stage of man. This is as far as our (physical) observation extends. Might be his study was related to Al-Anbiya ? Have not those who disbelieve seen (known) that the heavens and the Earth were of one connected entity, then We separated them (from each other), and We made every living thing out of water? Will they not then believe? (21: 30). Qur'an is the book of signs, not science. But from Qur'an we can advance all form of knowledge, including science. QUOTE(pallmall @ Feb 17 2015, 01:40 PM) Tiap-tiap hari mesti ada thread pasal keburukan islam in /k Kadang kadang ada hikmahnya. Dalam mencari keburukan, ada yang mendapat hidayah. so sad to see such people behave like this. perhaps due to 9/11 and ISIS. the end is near. 9/11 - The Day I Become A Muslim QUOTE On 9/11 we were on “standby” for more than 14hrs. We didn’t see any “action” and we just hurried up and waited, and waited, and waited, and then it was 9/12. As things started to develop and get sorted out after that horrible day, I began to reflect. Mostly about 1 and 2 but then I began to ask myself questions: Who were these people that did this? Why would they do this? Are their beliefs that crazy that they are willing to kill themselves and many others for it? I asked myself these questions over and over. My only solution was research. I wanted to know my enemy so that I may be better prepared to kill them. As a devout Christian, lay leader, bible study leader, etc. I wanted to see this murderous book for myself so that I may be able to inform my friends, group, and congregation. I never met a Muslim in my life all I knew was the church, so I decided to go straight to the horse’s mouth…the Quran. As things were eased on the base in the following days, I decided to go to the bookstore and I bought a Koran. My first one. It was in complete English, no Arabic in sight. So with a scornful look and disdain in my heart I began to read… The very first thing I read was: The Opening In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful: Praise be to God, the Lord of the Universe. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. King of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help Guide us to the straight way; The way of those whom you have blessed, not of those who have deserved anger, nor of those who stray. In the name of God, the Most Gracious and Merciful! What in the world! I thought I’m supposed to be reading about killing Christians in the name of some other god or something. Where’s all the violence and advocation of such against America? This opening sounded much like my prayers, so I began to read on… This post has been edited by aliesterfiend: Feb 17 2015, 03:00 PM |

QUOTE(Nebelung Valesti @ Feb 24 2015, 06:48 PM) Nice sharing. http://www.muslim.org/islam/aisha-age.htmBut i remember i read somewhere about a new theory that Aisha actually 18 years old when she merried. So, i want to know if you guys read it too and i wonder how reliable the new theory is? QUOTE The compiler of the famous Hadith collection Mishkat al-Masabih, Imam Wali-ud-Din Muhammad ibn Abdullah Al-Khatib, who died 700 years ago, has also written brief biographical notes on the narrators of Hadith reports. He writes under Asma, the older daughter of Abu Bakr: QUOTE “She was the sister of Aisha Siddiqa, wife of the Holy Prophet, and was ten years older than her. … In 73 A.H. … Asma died at the age of one hundred years.” This would make Asma 28 years of age in 1 A.H., the year of the Hijra, thus making Aisha 18 years old in 1 A.H. So Aisha would be 19 years old at the time of the consummation of her marriage, and 14 or 15 years old at the time of her nikah. It would place her year of birth at four or five years before the Call. |
