Mcm mane kalau melancong ke jepun cthnye. Lebih drpd 4 hari for sure.

Boleh qasar/jamak/both..how?

Actually the Ulama differs in their opinion reg the minimum / maximum number of days as there is no strong hadits that is clear on this issue.

Quote:

Sahabat Jabir radhiallahu anhu meriwayatkan, bahwasanya Rasulullah shallallahu alaihi wa'ala alihi wasallam tinggal di Tabuk selama dua puluh hari mengqashar shalat.[12]

Sahabat Ibnu Abbas radhiallahu anhuma meriwayatkan, bahwasanya Rasulullah shallallahu alaihi wa'ala alihi wasallam tinggal di Makkah selama sembilan belas hari mengqashar shalat.[13]

Nafi' rahimahullah meriwayatkan, bahwasanya Ibnu Umar radhiallahu anhuma tinggal di Azzerbaijan selama enam bulan mengqashar shalat.[14]

[13] HR. Bukhari dll

Melancong kat jepun tu tak keluar 2 marhalah ke sebelum cukup 4 hari tu?
Macam rehat 3 hari, perjalanan 90km, rehat 3 hari, perjalanan 90km. Ulang. Ia kelonggaran.
Kalau aku niatnya bermusafir sehingga kembali ke malaysia.
Kalau dah sampai destinasi, tak dikira masih bermusafir.
*
You are a "musafir" as long as you are not "bermukim" - based on the previous hadits/atsar I shared above.

I heard a lecture before on this issue, explaining that if you are traveling (or alternatively, visiting a far away place) for an uncertain period, you can observe the privilege of musafir even if it is for 6 months (see previous hadits). However, if you are already certain to stay for a certain period (for example, studying in Singapore, working in Saudi, etc.) then the ulama have different opinions as there is no strong & clear hadits on the limit.

Unfortunately the above paragraph was from verbal lecture, cannot quote here.

1. Mengucapkan: “Laa ba’sa thohuurun in syaa’allooh.”

Most of the rulings are taken from An-Nisaa. One can read the early part of the surah, specially ayat 11. Find a tafseer (not just a translation) if one wants to know more details. But for the complete lessons, one needs to learn from a scholar.

I believe that the "year" means islamic year. Hence the gregorian date shifts each year. I wonder if they already factored this into the calculation.

Senang kira, but there will be a time that we have 2x 1 muharrom in 1 gregorian year. Or in other words, there will be a time that you actually have 2x "haul" in one gregorian year (twice paying zakat in one gregorian year).
Does anyone know how they take this factor into account?

that last part is very important. mostly people will just quote "Islam is a simple religion" - which makes people (over) simplify the rules.

here is what i can find:
/Quote/

Pertama, Hukum mengambil bunga bank

/Unquote/

also the following:

/Quote/

QUOTE(hambaallah @ Jan 22 2016, 11:02 AM)
"Those who are living in Hell are happier there than they would be in this world, for in Hell their awareness turns to God, while in this world they forget. Nothing is sweeter than the awareness of God. Therefore, their desire to return to this world is to work and carry out deeds so that they can witness the manifestation of Divine grace, not because this world is a happier place than Hell.

"Hypocrites are consigned to the lowest place in Hell, because they were shown the true imaan but their kufr was stronger. They did nothing with the gift they were given. Their punishment is more severe so they can become aware of God. To the kuffar, imaan never came. Their unbelief is not as strong, and so they become aware through less punishment. Between pants with dust upon them, and a carpet with dust, the trousers only need one person to shake them a little to become clean, while it takes four people shaking the rug violently to rid the carpet of its dust."

(Fihi Ma Fihi, Discourse 65)

correct me if i'm wrong, but the above is not based on hadits, right?
from wikipedia:
The Fihi ma fihi (Persian: فیه مافیه‎‎; from Arabic: فیه ما فیه‎), literally means "It Is What It Is", or "In it what is in it") is a Persian prose work of the 13th century famous writer Mewlānā Jalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad Balkhī also known as Rumi. The book consists of 72 short discourses.

Assalamualaikum everyone few weeks ago I posted about my problems here. I have stopped going to parties and I am trying to stop drinking and avoid zina tapi still ada urge and now hati rasa tak tenang especially lepas bapak aku kena heart attack. Nak tanya macam mana nak buat Solat Taubat the easiest way?
*
Wa'alaykumussalaam warohmatullaah
I hope you find the strength to continue your path to correct yourself.
Solat taubat, there is no special or different way. You just do 2 rakaat of prayer, when you want to do taubat. There is also no special incantation or prayer for it. I mean, there is no hadits that is sohih that tells you how to do it or what to read in and after the prayer (CMIIW, guys). The important thing is your intent to do the prayer because you want to repent.

For me, I go with the fatwa of syaikh al Utsaimin :

Syaikh rahimahullah kemudian membawakan contoh. Misalnya shalat dan puasa. Apabila seseorang sengaja meninggalkan shalat hingga keluar waktunya, lalu jika dia bertanya, “Apakah aku wajib mengqodho’ (mengganti) shalatku?”

over-sleeping is one of the excuses that can be forgiven, hence you would need to do your prayer when you wake up.
edit:
however, if the case is because one purposefully/intentionally over-sleep so that the prayer time is skipped, then that falls in line with the previous explanation from Syaikh Al Utsaimin.

According to syafii school, the dog is impure (najis) in and of itself. Of course, Malaysia claims to follow the syafii school, hence why people here don't want to even get near a dog.
Other schools may have different ruling/conclusion though. You can read further of the differences in:

QUOTE(seiferalmercy @ Feb 1 2016, 10:43 PM)
...
in addition, there is a saying attributes to the prophet that having a dog in one's home is... not good, other than for guarding one's farm..the reason was not explained, but a lot of people speculated that it is probably because of the inconveniences it brings to the neighbourhood, noisy dangerous or whtaever, or probabbly simply due to cleanliness issue.
...
*
Actually the reason was explained:

Dari Ibnu ‘Umar, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
“Barangsiapa memelihara anjing selain anjing untuk menjaga binatang ternak, maka amalannya berkurang setiap harinya sebanyak dua qiroth (satu qiroth adalah sebesar gunung uhud).” (HR.HR. Muslim: 23 Kitab Al Masaqoh).

Note that in Bukhari, the wording is similar but with addition that guest (edit: I mean guard - darn autocorrect) dogs are excluded from the above

Also, angels will not come:

(HR. Al-Bukhari no. 3075 dan Muslim no. 2106)

(angels bring/deliver Allah's blessing)

From the above two sample hadits, one can rear a dog to guard, if really necessary, but still cannot allow such dog to enter/live in one's house.

Errr... Let's not jump from one topic to another and back again, not until we're done with one anyway. Suffice it to say that there are also different views on this matters. The safest, of course is to just refrain from displaying any picture of living things.
Is it correct? Don't know for sure, but it's the one that has the least disbenefit in the after life.

My apologies also
It's actually not my place to say that, I realize now. It's just that if there are too many things being discussed at one time, one can get very confused.
See how the topic has shifted to scientific ventures, from the dawg. Didn't want to disrupt the natural flow.
Anyways, the earthly sciences are important for the current life, but the religious sciences are what counts in the after life. They are distinguished from one another.
So, for example, if someone asks why a muslim cannot eat pigs, the answer is from religious science (i.e. It is specified in the Quran). If asked why a human must not eat pig, the earthly science can have a go (biologist, or whatever).
If someone ask why why why
We need to look at the question
If they're looking for scientific proof, then they shouldn't ask a religious person

Perhaps she should be reminded that Rasulullaah (peace be upon him) received and ate a meal of lamb prepared by a jewish lady. There is a hadits on this, one just has to google it.

Basically, it is not a question of who prepared the food, but what the content of the food is. This is derived from the principle that any food is halal for you unless you know (or have strong reason to believe) that it contains haram substance.

On this logic, I myself practice eating whatever biscuits, chocolates and whatever, that has no halal certificate but was vegetarian certified.

I made some quick google about hindu vegetarian and it said that they use cow urine as the ingredient. If this true. Than it not halal. Lol.

if they wash the utensils, that is enough.
unless they have a dog and you suspect they use the utensils they eat with to serve their dog (can't think of why they would do that instead of use a separate utensil for the dog, though).
FYI, cleaning/purifying is different between the pig and the dog - where the dog requires 7 times cleaning with 1x using dirt/soil.
