Hello guys,I just bought a dell U2414H and found out that this monitor only come with dp to mini dp cable but unfortunately I'm using asrock H81M-HDS and i5-4460. The board only have vga, dvi, and hdmi. The monitor doesn't have dvi port too.

So now,I need to buy either hdmi cable or hdmi to dvi cable or what else? Any recommendation for this case?

Oh yea, dell also didn't even include me the power cable. Can I just buy those pc shop selling RM10 power cord?

your best bet is to
1. buy mini DP to DP converter
2. HDMI cable

as for the bottom part, head back to the shop you bought it from. the power cord is given separately

same as that time i bought my U23, i had to head back to request from them the power cord doh.gif

But my motherboard doesn't support display port. Only have hdmi, vga and dvi.

Last time my dell u2312hm power cord came with another small box also.. I bought from dell online directly so I think I would just buy a new one from pc shop..

For the hdmi cable,I read from some site stated that cheapest hdmi cable would do the job as what expensive hdmi cable do. So meaning I should just buy the cheapest cable that I could found at my local shops?

Hmmm. So the power cable could I buy those RM10 one? Is it any harm?

Thanks a lot for your reply bro smile.gif appreciate it biggrin.gif

apologies, didnt see that. change it to mini DP to HDMI/DVI adapter instead

as for the HDMI cable, most cables are decent enough. you dont need the extras like braided cords, gold plated, shielded whatnot. heck im using a cheap RM20 HDMI cable for Astro, seems abt fine. but try get from reliable brands. god forbid if the cheapo one are so cheapo until it died the next day

as for power cord, youll need to check the specifications first. all power cord looks the same except the voltage is it? hmm.gif not very good in these, so i cant help much.but i daresay its abt the same speced as those PSU power cord
