All these talks about big names, marquee signings etc.

That aside, what has been happening to Southampton this season is remarkable. Koeman knows how to use his players well.

Pssssst, there is growing camp that may possibly feel we might raid him (koeman) should things go sour whistling.gif whistling.gif
My bad. sweat.gif

No, I not gonna sit on "BRout" camp. As I never ever wanted rafa to get the sack then, I not gonna be in any camp that will call for rodgers head, esp when the season is still on. There is already a show amongst the crowd. It is silly.

No, no

Squad depth = When struggling to score goals bring on a 32 year old and a striker you tried to offload all summer while a 25m midfielder sits on the bench and another 20m winger is no where to be seen. Transfer policy gone wrong...

Perhaps they cannot adapt or understand rodgers "how-to-play-like Barcelona" just yet? cool2.gif

Before starting of the season, i mentioned the transfer is crucial for him & liverpool. He needs to get the right players while Suarez confirmed he will be staying.

Linked with so many good players but non of them came. Dunno whats the story behind but of coz these good players could crap as well.

This may cost him the job

Some good players suddenly turn into bad players. Making school boys mistakes.

The question most need to ask themselves is does one forget how to play football ? or they are trying to play a system that the manager expects them too?

Honestly I believe in the latter, a simple example is reina who for several reasons kept clean sheets for the team, yet many said he lost his mojo. We change a supposedly better keeper, yet the opposition(s) continues to punch thru goals the same manner what was critisized of reina.

When gerrard houllier came to Liverpool esp when he became the sole manager (not as joint manager), he knew how poor Liverpool was then but made to play basics. Defend.

It was often gawd awful to watch but he was slowly craving results. He knew he would eventually had us perform the way to win throphies . Sure some of us still hated houllier's football but he did fight to ensure Liverpool makes a about turn in fortunes.

A lot of ex players gave raving reviews of Rodgers last season because it reminded them of the old Liverpool and OF when Liverpool plays beautify fast attacking football. Remember the spice boys ? Jaime redknapp, fowler and gang were scoring almost at will.. That's the Liverpool many were happy to see Rodgers Liverpool. Not houllier, not steewpeed rafa's Liverpool team.

I liked BR not since start of the season but very beginning, he changes the style of play compared to KK. He gave all the youth a chance to play at the beginning, surely no one know about BR all the big players like Suarez, Gerrard, Reina etc.. They gave him a chance to see what he has got. Mourinho was no one when he was coaching in Sporting & Porto he wasnt even a good as a player back then. So all these giving me an idea what BR could do, young, new idea, but he needed time. Everyone know we played differently since he took over, especially when he bought Coutinho & Sturridge and promoted Sterling.

But yea everyone makes mistakes, i dearly hope those mistake would not cost him the job. I could only pity him, because he has potential. I liked these young energetic manager, they celebrate on the pitch like they were playing jumping up and down showing passion to the crowd. But they needed to be given chance & time.

So thats why i dont mind BR, Martinez or whoever is younger manager to take charge.

It is just my own opinion, im not here to influence anyone or advise or being sarcastic

Mourino was nobody back then, pretty much right but don't forget mourino was under the tutelage VG before. Even when mourino made a name for himself winning champions league with porto. He did it with strong defence. Many criticise him for his park the bus type of way to glory.

He knew, he knew the porto players can't bring him success should he go all out to attack, there weren't world class players, but tucking in all this under his belt ensures he gets into the right team where the owners trust him in spotting and buying the right players to play expansive type of modern football which critics are showered glowing reviews.

Liverpool, wait. Rodgers isn't there yet, but yet in his great ideas of his decides to play 4-3-3, 4-5-1 when we haven't have the correct mix of players. I not, most of us are not critising rodgers for the sack, but asking him to wake up from dreamland where we are not Barcelona. We have no Messi, to have such player run rings on the opposition.

When the team starts to win regularly, and when we ever win throphies, then enbark on his fantasy football. By then we should be able to attract players, marquee players who would not turn down to work with the manager.

He is asking for patience. We are giving him that. But he needs to see play with your strengths not play with ideals
