Basel are the dark horses of qualifying in my opinion, they've been in Champs League more times in the last 5 years than us. So I won't rule out them putting up a good fight.

I'm expecting a tough draw tonight, given the weather condition in Switzerland I can only hope it does not rain when we play today.

Stevie G and Hendo is definitely playing, no two ways abt it...

Were they on the plane to Basel? I know Sakho and Sturridge did'nt make it. Not sure about the two you mentioned tho.

That being said, they should be given more chances

I agree with yeelong Get a draw away in Switzerland is a satisfactory result based on current form. But then again, that puts pressure on the return match at Anfield and also the away game at Ludogrets. Basically must-win games (hard to be optimistic for the matches against Real based on their form. Only expecting 1 point or at best 3 points against them).

I think with Cout, Lallana and Sterling playing in and around Balo we have a good chance...currently still not sold on Marko though I believe he will come good. The central midfield double pivot though...having my doubts about Gerrard - Hendo. Maybe Lucas - Hendo?

As much as I want them to win, I somehow feel the game will be a tough one as we'll make it difficult for ourselves.

I hope Rodgers doesn't tell the lads they are happy with a DRAW in Basel.

This is definitely a must win game for Liverpool, irregardless of what form we are in. If you go in playing for a draw, there won't be any hunger to take 3 points from this. A win will also lessen the pressure on us when taking on RM.

Rodgers must inject the proper mentality into our boys against Basel!!! Basel is solid team but they are still beatable IF Rodgers gets his tactics right. It's not OK to draw, imho
