QUOTE(AnythingK @ Sep 27 2014, 10:01 PM)
In this match, its clearly BR tactic at fault here, after Gerrard scored, the whole fast pace tempo had gone, and Liverpool keep the possession in the middle, but when they lost the possession, they dropped very very deep. Once they get to clear the ball, it will reach fellow Everton player again, its like inviting Everton to trying out their luck of scoring.
*
Wrong move on sub Balo.
Balo was holding ball up well, that relief the pressure of the team, but the manager sub him. Nobody hold the ball up, invite pressure.
Also nobody closing down on long range shot in the match, there were a number long range shot by Everton, that nobody closing down.

The way BR celebrated Gerrard's free kick goal was arrogant, shouldn't come from manager.
1-0 up only, not 5-0. doh.gif

For the last 2 managers, they departed after the season that finished second, so may be deja vu for third time?

Sigh. I guess BR tried the "park the bus" tactic by defending deep. Unfortunately, our bus wasn't strong enough.

All too familiar now, having to wait anxiously just to celebrate our 1st goal in every match.

YNWA.

everton was sooo lucky our finishing was poor..get over it, derby always like this one..whats important our gameplay has improved..lallana looks like a good buy..only concern is marko & balo..but knowing marko, he's only shine in the 2nd half of the season when he's in benfica..whereas balo trying too hard to impress the crowd

where is gerrard hater rite now ehhhhh

Come on guys, when we scored, back of our lads heads knew we been wobbly at the back in the past hence the fear of losing the lead is natural

Our tempo could have been pressing ahead but again may be vanurable, and if Everton and replied/scored, some may say why didn't LFC slowed n protect the lead?

Wel'll never know

What is it, 7 points out of 6 games? With a negative goal difference to boot. That's what you get for buying in quantity over quality. Marko looks like a 20 million flop so far. And please don't give me the "he will only shine in the 2nd half of the season" excuse. By that time, we probably would be hanging somewhere in the middle of the table. Sterling, Balo, Coutinho, basically most of our first XI players are struggling.

I have no idea why BR played Sterling on the left. The boy a total shite at crossing with his left, or right for that matter. Easily the 2nd worst player today, with Marko being first. Kept losing the ball cheaply and had no idea whether to dribble or to pass the ball. From now on Coutinho should always start ahead of Markovic no matter how out of form Cout is.

Yes, Gerrard scored the goal, but he hasn't really helped the team much this season so far. I think it's okay to start him, but he cannot play the full 90 anymore. Br's decision to sub Balo today was shocking, stupid if I'm being brutal. He was the one keeping the pressure to Everton's back 4. Why not sub Gerrard and put Lambert and Balo on the field? Grow some balls Rodgers.

our offence like shite!! Today we play anfield...not much pressure!!
I think with his current set up...our away games, we are goner be eaten alive!!

Gerrard must play offensive!! That's it!!
MArkovic...pls proceed to reserve team.
Balo needs Studge...to support other wise he can't flourish.

1-1 is no good at anfield. Sorry CL next season.

Credit to Gerrard for that goal, but he still cannot be a DM and defend.

Oh, how many corners do we get? And I don't see any quality corner out of so many corners today.

On the positive side, Moreno and Manquillo looking really good at proving width on both flanks. Even Lovren looked good tonight. Lallana never stopped running on and off the ball despite playing all of 120 minutes last match. His close control of the ball is superb. Only thing letting him down is his lack of pace.

Those 4 games before Chelsea, if we can't win those, then truly bye2 CL next season.

The freekick goal was because of Balo being fouled as well.

The way BR celebrated the Gerrard's goal, doesn't suggest BR is going to bench Gerrard.

With current play, no chance for Europa league position as well.
League table won't lie, now sitting at 12th.

So much money to buy Southampton players, but now they are 2nd with 13 points.
That's why I don't believe in "gel" time excuse, they have more new first team players compared to Liv, and their new players transfer cost and wages is much less than Liv.

Gerrard is in the team for one and one only purpose. Take penalties and set pieces. We all know he is good at penalties and free kicks but suck at corners.

Soto in 2nd? No problem, knowing BR, we can raid Pelle and Tadic for 20mil each! Which I think might as well get Koeman for 5mil a year.

I would like to see a starting 11 without Gerrard and Balo. Sometimes the team may not gel well or afraid to do something fancy if there are individual the like of SG8 and MB45.. i dunno... something is really really missing in the team now (exclude LS7). cry.gif
