Being a pundit, you can make more money n less hassle  job.. Only a good x player can be a pundit, and the rest? Some will become a coach.... A very few of these coaches will climb up the ladder n become a manager... Feel free to disagree.....

Being a top- top manager is highly lucrative . Far far more than any sports pundit can say kah ching.

There are many previous ex players that eventually become good coach/managers. Majority of all managers at some time of their lives played football.

Does a top top player (after winning all the accolades, throphies) become .. do they make the grade as top top managers. Probably not.

Managing people takes a some years of experience in managing, cultivating, and a lot of time observing people and learning. A top top players may be spending his good prime years playing and not cultivating his managing skills. It depends.

Some of them do make the grade, pep guardiola was a top player, there will be some amongst will emerge.

I remember one of the fans here said everything Caraggher said is bull shit, because if he is really that good to analyse thing, he could had become a coach instead of a pundits.
Well I agree parts of it because as a pundit you had to say what the masses like, but hell most of his analyses and critics on Liverpool is totally spot on.

Like many said, we are not very far from top 4 now, but dont forget that we had used up most of the draw and lose quota to remain at top 4 so early of the season. If we manage to win most of the remaining match, then yea top 4 in the pocket, but can Liverpool do it? Only time will tells.

Pundit = theory
Manager/coach = put he theory into practical.

Some people are good in theory, but can be poor to put them into practice.

They only can remain as pundit but not coach, but it doesn't mean they know nothing about football, or their comment is totally bullshit.
That's why manager pay is way more than pundit.

If you look at Carra analyse, he did give proper details in analyse the situation, how goal was leaking, defender being dragged out of position, resulted conceding goal,
instead of just general statement like other amateur pundit which no different that what had been posted in lyn including me. laugh.gif

to me its two different things

pundit analyse a game after the match, while manager have to analyse a game before the match.

its two different situations, and of course analysis after a match is more accurate.

i bet the situation will still be the same if we change place between a manager and a pundit

i'm sure some already know carra has been working on his coaching badges for at least a couple yrs already.
carra has also said he chose to opt out of full time management due to seeing his fav managers all succumb to it all, pressure, health factors etc.
and while he may be a pundit, at least hes getting paid for it, rather than some ranting on a forum like a pundit wannabe.

I think carra deserves some credit because he had warned of repeating 2002 and 2009 mistakes even before the season started unlike all the other useless ex player pundits who praised rodgers to the heavens for doing a fantastic job in the transfer market but started bashing him as soon as the results were poor.

Of course he doesn't like it coz time is not on his side... truth is this season will be his last chance of winning the league with Liverpool.
*
LOL I doubt he'll like it either if he's still in his 20s..

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Nov 1 2014, 08:19 AM)
Can I disagree to agree instead? LOL tongue.gif

Anyway, January better comes fast. We are no different from last season in terms of  leaking in goals. Just that we couldn't do that outscoring opponent thing again without SAS.

Oh ya. Break the curse of finishing outside UCL spot after getting 2nd place last season. It happened too often tongue.gif

We all want Liverpool to do better. As fans we feel, experienced the anguish of the club stumbling

Some of have felt it's too early to be judgemental of Rodgers this season. After a sendsational last season, everyone thought, hey things can only be better, righ?

Showered with glowing reviews how we play the most exciting attacking football in years (century). Probably good when we had a excellent harraser/poacher in suarez. The team style suites each other.

Aparted from the demolition of spurs, the confidence of the Liverpool team didn't turn up at all in all other matches. Scary to think we can repeat last years league position.

The formidable attacking strike force that terrorize all oppositions seemed to be absent (right missing one man only, right?) so it's not wrong for Suarez to say it was suarez factor that made LFC challenge for the title.

This season? many won't be wrong to add most opposition teams fear the attacking prowness of chelsea, city, and Manu (they too have leaky defence but top teams know Manu can too score at will against team)

Tonight's game, I think Brendan Rodger will set up a cautious team against Newcastle. This is to counter a fact that some of us feels we should make opponents fear us. We have the depth in squad of players far more so than even rafa's all conquering Liverpool. But we DON'T have the right (mix) of players esp the first eleven.

I don't think we shd lose tonight, I think we will and may carve a ugly win/draw should we sent forth a that is solid in defence.

Newcastle despite their lowly position in the league appears to have more bite upfront than us atm

Koolspyda i cant disagree with you on all except one.I think almost everyone acknowledges that last season was overachievement. What is really upsetting is the terrible job done in the transfers. With over 100million available all the club could get was balotelli and lambert?
