the Stevie G factor perhaps? his time is running out, no 'senior' in the current squad is currently looking like they're taking over his place. we need commanders in both defense and midfield area. we used to have commanders in Carra and Stevie (heck, even Reina commands his defenders like a bawse) but current fact is Carra is no longer there and no one's taking over that role in defense while Stevie is still heading towards the inevitable, his retirement, also without a solid replacement.

i believe the current squad is good enough. heck they might even go the distance. please, call me a dreamer but i believe in them. leadership on the pitch is the only key right now.

At the moment, BR can only call upon his experience with Swansea (though I do remember a deal with Sigurdsson breaking down last min also), but hopefully with enough experience and success, people won't need so much convincing to come over to the red half of merseyside
