My rig is running a P4 2.60Ghz HT proc and 1GB DDR RAM.
Thinking of spending a little money to upgrade it so I can see WoW in its full glory... Despite the Tmnut SteamyX poor service
Recommended Vid Card for WoW, Time to upgrade...

I currently use a ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB video card and I can't seem to run WoW at even mid-range options.

I'm using MSI Nvidia 6600 card 256MB ram
been about 3 months plus. The graphic performance is ok-good during gameplay. But did suffer some problem, dunno is related to the card or not. These times the HD red flashing heavily. When crossing zone while on flight, its really suck. Again dunno its card or others. I would suggest you try atleast 7XXX series if you wanna try Nvidia. |

QUOTE(Kravo @ Sep 4 2006, 10:23 AM) I'm using MSI Nvidia 6600 card 256MB ram Thats not a card problem. Its your RAM. Get at least 1.5 GB RAM and you will stop having the problem. A HD that is flashing heavily indicates a heavy swap-file (virtual memory) usage.been about 3 months plus. The graphic performance is ok-good during gameplay. get those card which support HDR, just upgraded my rig to E6300 (clocked to 2.8MHZ 7 x 400MHz) and using X1800GTO (was using 9800PRO). Man I tell you, the HDR effect is freaking AWESOME, e.g. if u got a big sword when u ride through the sunshine your sword will grow immensely without any enchant, and become dim when under shade. Also color and enviroment in STV is so lively when in the evening, words just can't explain it.
HDR FTW!! |
