the output of the photo is you to decide. i shot landscape in form of close up with 70200. why not? i even did use my fisheye to shoot macro too (because the fish eye has 8cm mfd from sensor)
there is no written rules that any lens can do this cant do that. its just that it may hinder you from getting what you wan, or harder journey to master a category with a difficult lens.

dont let people's ideals stop you from doing thing different.
