Regarding BT to Aeon Credit Card, can BT only the statement balance or the latest outstanding balance (i.e. statement balance plus charges subsequent to the statement balance)?

Just want to be sure of this. There is an existing BT for HSBC @ 0% interest rate p.a. for 6mths. I didnt see that there is any upfront fee/ management fee charged. Is it true that it is totally free (just like PBB and Aeon) to do the BT to HSBC?

Didnt know the BT to HSBC works differently. I BT (let say RM3000) from Bank A and B to HSBC for 3months 0% BT, when I received the HSBC statement, the whole RM3000 appears as the statement balance instead of RM1000 for 3 months. Called CS and the girl said you need to only pay the minimum amount (5%), which is RM150, that is the way they do BT

QUOTE(l.jason57 @ Mar 24 2016, 05:49 PM) In that case, better dont do BT to HSBC because the interest is high (maybe 18%?). I remember when I was doing the BT, she mentioned some sort of no penalty for early settlement but I didnt hear anything about cannot BT to other banks. Sigh... So not gonna touch HSBC card for BT anymore |

QUOTE(laymank @ Mar 25 2016, 12:31 PM) Be careful with BT with HSBC card. For my case, they charge the whole lump sum as statement balance instead of splitting it over few months. If only pay the minimum balance, I think the interest rate is bout 18% instead of the normal finance charge on outstanding balance. |
