UOB offering me 0% BT for 12 months- pay monthly min 5% only,the only fee is upfront 1% charge.

Has anybody taken  this BT from UOB?? Telephone call offer from UOB.

I calculated if take RM80k, 1% fee =RM800

First month need pay only min 5% = RM4040
2nd month need pay only RM3838
3rd = RM3646.10
....till 12th month - pay all up.

A separate account will be created for this BT, so the card can still be used for retail swipes.

If i paid all up  early, eg. in the 11th month, UOB said no penalty charge for early settlement.

But if i call to cancel that BT account, penalty for cancelling BT early is RM100.

Anybody expert in calculation,
if i pay monthly min 5%as calculated above,  what is the effective interest rate?

One more very important things, once you done BT to HSBC. Your HSBC card no longer enjoy free of interest for 20 days for new swipe. Whatever new swipe you need to pay off the next day or standard interest rate will be charge.
