pleasant surprise.......

MBf zero fee balance transfer offer (ended 31.10.2014) also gave out
Bonus Link Points for BT.

Though i received that offer near its end, still managed to hit  3 BTs
there...... and got 5711 points, RM10 = 3 BL points.

best part is one of them is an overpayment to my MBB AMex and i got that RM5+k refunded into my MBB SA - interest free cash for  6 months.

Do you have outstanding balance from BT on this MBB Amex cc? Or MBB also allow the refund although with outstanding balance for BT in the Amex? smile.gif

mbb allows refund on whatever you paid higher than the statement amount.

But some bank doesn't allow FULL refund if you still have outstanding(e.g. unsettled BT, monthly installments etc) in the cc account..they would minus off all those outstanding & refund the balance amount. Can confirm this is not applicable for MBB? So good?? biggrin.gif

interesting question... imagine the CL is 20k, 80% of it, which is 16k already used for BT, then i overpaid 10k, which makes the available limit as 14k, and i used 11k for another BT.

once both BT are approved and is MBB going to allow me to transfer the 10k overpaid back into SA/CA? hmm.gif

based on your example, you can get back your overpayment of 10k minus off the 1.3k statement amount which is around 8.7k (if you did not use another 11k for new bt). if you use it for another 11k bt, you can't get the refund because you took more than 80% already if they refund you.

from my experience, talking about MBB, your 11k BT would be declined. your 'actual' CR balance is 4k, can do BT for RM3200 only. Overpayment does not count, unlike Aeon.

But MBB refund is simple, say statement showed payment due RM2000, if you pay RM10k, can get refund RM8k, no deduction from current outstandings accumulated, again different from Aeon.

I had overpayment RM9700+ in Aeon on 3.11.14 when i requested refund (after Aeon declined 2 BTs), by the time the officer called to approve it on 7.11.14 the refund amount has reduced to RM5700+ , deducted BT installments posted from 3-7.11.14. Interest free cash advance, never mind.

bro, he can't even do the 3.2k bt anymore. he already maximised the whole 80% of his 20k cl. the 4k cr is the 20% cl left for his normal use.

so he can only get refunded of his overpayment 10k minus off whatever in his statement balance.

never try that before (although i have casa with ocbc) because i will only overpay to my aeon cc to allow more bt in order to earn more points. lol...

nowadays i do around 7-8 bt per month. very fast maximise all my cl. sad.gif

How AEON refund overpayment? You call the AEON CS, then they send you a cheque?

Somebody has tried that via email and got requested to email in their CC statement.

That's why he proposed you try out using fax channel.

if email, the chances of being rejected (without statement) is higher...

otherwise you just print screen (from online) your outstanding balance to attach.

ohh...ok thanks guys. Just afraid if I wait for statement, it might delay the payment to the other bank in case there is delay in processing from mbb side?

as suggested, if you don't want to wait for statement, you may just print screen your outstanding amount to be attached together with your bt application.
