Any recommendation for 0% interest 12mth/6mth BT for RM50k?
Due to credit limit, may have to target different cards.

Thanks!

Anyone knows whether BT will appear in our CCRIS? If yes is the full repayment being considered as our monthly commitment thus contribute bad credit score?

My new credit card application was rejected recently which i suspect due to this BT. Something i unexpected.

Yes, it will appear in CCRIS.

If you pay every month, then it will be zero, so your record will be nice. However, the outstanding amount of your BT will be captured there.

RM30k. As per the 0% promo TnC, that's the maximum amount. No charge. No statement required. I'm still trying to spend RM1300 for the RM388 cashback and RM1500 for the current lucky draw promotion.

Wow you really maxed out to 30k, salute! Btw, is there any restrictions on the BT amount, I.e like 80% of credit limit or can go beyond 80% as long as it does not exceed 30k

I am planning to pre-pay utilities for a year to reach the 1.3k threshold

Seems like more banks are offering 0% BT for new to bank customers not to name Pbb n ambank. Good deal for new customers?

Didnt know the BT to HSBC works differently. I BT (let say RM3000) from Bank A and B to HSBC for 3months 0% BT, when I received the HSBC statement, the whole RM3000 appears as the statement balance instead of RM1000 for 3 months. Called CS and the girl said you need to only pay the minimum amount (5%), which is RM150, that is the way they do BT doh.gif

Then how about the balance ?? So mean in order to avoid of charge, you need to pay one lum sum for RM3k instead of RM150??

What is the point of their BT ??

hsbc BT is using reducing balance

you can pay min for 1st to 5th month then pay all at 6month.
If i remember correctly , hsbc got rules mention that you cannot BT to another bank if u cant finish current payment.

In that case, better dont do BT to HSBC because the interest is high (maybe 18%?). I remember when I was doing the BT, she mentioned some sort of no penalty for early settlement but I didnt hear anything about cannot BT to other banks. Sigh... So not gonna touch HSBC card for BT anymore

I was in the HSBC bank to collect my card just now and I have asked about BT from Bank A to HSBC

Get to know that statement from Bank A is not necessary need to be provide when applying HSBC's BT, but only fill up the BT form with outstanding amount, credit card number, that's all

Because they are able to check the outstanding amount based on Bank A credit card number.
