Read the reviews... its a 'different' kind of bad from BvS, but still 'bad'. Sloppy direction seems to be an indicator with 'paper thin' storyline.

Btw,

Suicide Squad: DC fans petition to shut down Rotten Tomatoes over critical reviews

QUOTE
The negative reviews rolling in for Suicide Squad have some DC Comics fans upset — but not about the movie. Instead, a small but outspoken group is going after Rotten Tomatoes, a site that aggregates movie reviews.

One enterprising fan — Abdullah Coldwater of Alexandria, Egypt — launched a Change.org petition to shutter Rotten Tomatoes due to its lackluster ratings on movies in DC’s wheelhouse. The petition accuses the site of giving “unjust bad reviews … that affects people’s opinion even if it’s a really great [movie].” The petition has received about 3,800 signatures as of this posting.

Rotten Tomatoes, which tallies the percentage of reviews that are deemed positive, currently shows a meager 36 percent positive rating for Suicide Squad, based on 64 reviews, while this spring’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice settled at 27 percent on 344 critiques. To compare, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War garnered a laudatory 90 percent with 320 critics chiming in.

One of my most awaited films of the year and was confident it would be well received by critics. Anyways, the film will most likely have a better audience reception just like BvS.

Both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman were forgivable and enjoyable to me, but not this one. The worst DC Extended Universe film to date.

Okay, and with that it seals the deal for me to NOT watch this. Read your review too.

I thought David Ayer whose "Fury" is among his works I liked could be the saving grace for DC and the cast which seemed poised for greatness... aiyo... doh.gif

"Lousy version of Joker." What a shocker. Its Jared Leto who throws himself into the role he plays.. sweat.gif

Haha... friend bought extra tickets, ask me to join Friday night. biggrin.gif

I said "No thanks"

Skipped quite a few movies this year, and have not regretted doing so.

...regretted watching BvS, but oh well. At least I didn't see Ben Affleck's a** I heard exists in the Ultimate Edition.

Jared Leto: I Was Tricked Into Being Part of Something Pitched Differently

QUOTE
Suicide Squad star Jared Leto feels as though he was "tricked" into taking on the role of Joker in Warner Bros.' new comic book film, according to a recent report.

The actor, who's also the lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars, shared a few thoughts on his role during a Q&A session at Camp Mars—an event Leto posted about on both Instagram and Twitter. According to a summary provided by a Leto fansite on Tumblr (via Batman-News), Leto is said to have felt "sort of tricked into being a part of something that had been pitched to him very differently."

According to the report, Leto said he thought it would be a more artistic production and was "overwhelmed by all the hate regarding the look and choices." He also said he hasn't yet seen the film after being disappointed to hear what did and didn't make it into the theatrical cut.

Leto also confirmed that his contract for Suicide Squad prohibited him from doing various dangerous activities that he enjoys, like rock climbing. In response to this stipulation by Warner Bros., Leto said "f—k 'em."

Suicide Squad opened earlier this month to negative critical reception. While the theatrical release doesn't feature very much of Leto as the green-haired villain, the actor said he shot enough Joker material for a whole movie.

Skipped X-Men Apocalypse, waiting patiently for the '1080p' and now (sadly), for this movie too.

Watched the 'HD' version a week ago, the so-called "Extended Cut".

Wow.

If there was a regret watching BvS, this would have been far worse. Lucky I skipped it in cinemas.

The only redeeming factor was Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie); they did fantastic.

But overall, what a garbage of a film.

Can anyone believe how the Joker was represented in the film? And that ending?? Jaw dropping.
