Would I want to see more...well probably cause the ensemble cast are likable and hopefully they remember to tact a "story" with it next time. Diablo is awesome.

I won't call the rush production is the sole culprit for the movie downfall with the THR article. Greengrass did the Bourne 2&3 movies without a finished script at all. McQuarrie writing Rogue Nation on a day to day basis during filming. Do take note Suicide Squad movie is a big hollywood production which is the first time David Ayer is in. His earlier movies pretty much gritty situational set-up with meaty dialogue driving the story under the low to mid tier budget. CBM is all about generating expensive spectacle with a strict good vs evil trope in it. Not many people able to pull off deconstructing a specific genre of film making like Nolan,Kubrick,Fincher,etc...I'm not saying Ayer is bad just maybe he wasn't under the best circumstance when he sign on or he already had other developing projects with WB that came with Suicide Squad as a condition. Not every film director able to come up successful when they took a shot at blockbuster movie making. If his next movie is good and a big hit, maybe he will find more leverage with the studio heads.

What WB did is no different from what Marvel did to Joss Whedon or Jon Favreau. Both have some not so pleasant experience being publicly documented in interview before. Playing the devil's advocate here, if Ayer's version is super good with a more serious tone underpinning the movie. Would the studio willing to shoot themselves in the foot if they do not find some fault with it.

If you have worked in any international corporate office before, there will always be people being accounted for any project that come with a big price tag. It's the same like if you employed an interior designer for a 500k renovation project. During the presentation you will be promised the moon and the stars. There are bound to be design tweaks and cost along the way. What looks good on paper does not guarantee it will work 100% in reality. The shade of the wall paint is off when under incandescent lighting, the materials selected not that good for sound proofing,etc...so isn't it your privilege to make changes or you just leave everything up to the interior designer even the final result does not meet your expectation???

I'm not saying WB didn't do anything wrong, all I'm saying no one in the world will get a free pass when you are given millions of millions to do a job unless you are doing something illegal or a crooked politician.

No one in the world who wake up in the morning and say I'm gonna make a shitty movie because I can. There may be anxiety surrounding the making of a bad decision but definitely not intentional.

Scantily clad heroine still selling games and realistic female depiction didn't dominate the pop culture.The Gamergate forum now has evolved to Qanon and peddling misinformation day in and day out.

If you want to read great comic books that for sure you won't read DC or Marvel. Saga, Wallking Dead, East of Eden, Monstress, etc...are all current books that have won numerous awards and a strong following. Just that they are not mainstream. DC and Marvel are under big corporate overlords who's ultimatum is to maximize profit. Pandering to their demographic is not exactly SJW. Nike laughing to the bank with Colin Kaepernick woke advertisements. So until Marvel or DC is sustainable within the profit margin of corporate overlords, things will never go back to what was before where pioneers like Stan Lee or Jack Kirby strive to just storytelling and not making marketing agendas.

What and how you use certain words reflects who you are. Granted you may not knowing the intention of the SJW phrases but just why perpetuate it's malicious intention by society's assholes. BTW pretty sure majority of your favourite Hollywood stars, directors, comedians and singers are leftist. The only honourable conservative is Clint Eastwood and he doesn't participate in culture war. Maybe Chris Pratt is the next high profile right wing superstar who isn't an asshole. Then again I'm not snowflake enough that my political leanings will determine my enjoyment of whether the stars or directors who is left or right or not. All I care whether it is a good or bad movie, of course I'm not stupid enough purposely watch a Ben Sharpino produced movie to test my patience on his stupid right wing rhetoric.

Even this Suicide Squad is entertaining but really not breaking any new ground that haven't been done before. Pretty sure by the end of the week I would totally forgotten what the whole movie about and don't care enough for a second watch.
