1. Now 1 lot is equals to 100 units or 1000 units? 2. Can I the same CDS account with another stock broker (not the original stock broker who opened the CDS for me) ?

QUOTE(topearn @ Apr 18 2017, 04:48 PM) Why are there tiny trades done for say 1 lot (100 shares) where the share price is just 8.5 cents. Cost of share is just RM8.50 but the brokerage+clearing+stamping is much higher ? sorry beginner here.. i think i need some clarification. why is it cost of buying much higher? brokerage+clearing+stamping :: (0.007 x 8.5 ) + (0.0003 x 8.5) + 1 = RM 1.062 1.062/ 100 shares = 1.06 cents per share 8.5 cents (share) >> 1.06 cents (buy cost) >> cost per share is 1.06 cents, why higher ? in what sense you mean higher cost? the maths or value?

Cost of share is just RM8.50 but the brokerage+clearing+stamping is much higher ? referring to the above post by you... 8.5 cents per share, 1 lot (100shares) = RM8.50. what were you trying to say actually.. you are saying the cost of share for RM 8.50 lesser than the brokerage+clearing+stamping?
