Hi,

I have put some money into saving plan and unit trust early this year. Now i manage to save another sum of $$, planning to invest in stock market (learning as well). 1 of my friend use2 told me that's some stock which actually generate profit steadily, but low return, i think it's, or something like blue chip in unit trust? I would like to start learning with this steady stocks but he went to US so i cant really get guide from him anymore. So where could i actually start doing this? i mean with proper guide instead of playing nonsense around myself.
*
you may check REITS or BLUE CHIP stock.
Keep reading lowyat subforum; you find someting is suitable your appetite.

Hi guys, I just started to invest through RHB Invest as my broker. I have opened an current account with them and I was told that I would have to deposit money into the account to buy stocks.

Is there anyway for me to check balance in the current account without going through my remiscer? I find it troublesome to call them each time I transfer fund into the account to check for the balance.
*
Do you hv online ? possible check there.

I have not create an online ID for this account so I don't think it's possible. My remiscer told me that this is sorta like a dummy account so I couldn't check the balance through online banking. Is it true?
*
i believe due to OSK and RHB merging. their are mid of intergrating.

if trade using phone the remiser; then you remiser must be earning heaft comission from your trade.

Try to trade online- which is more cheaper- click ownself to buy. But you can't hv a remiser service asking tips.

I suggest you open other CDS acc at other bank which can trade online. Seen you can online lowyat rather depent remiser to do for you.

Using online shld be easy job for your age and IT tech compare to grandpa.

Hi all, I got a question to ask here. After working for 2 years half. I have save up to 30k+ but only resort them in my saving account only.

After talk with a friend, he asked me to invest my money instead of sitting idle waiting its value to depreciate. So whats in my mind was, heard people said that Maxis and Genting do pay out dividend every year and its value do appreciate.

May I know how I can invest in these kind of stock/share, how do i start?
*
yes both give dividend, but you cant listen to frienz said only.

Do own homework 1st, as no one can spoon feed anyone.
Genting not generous giving dividend - you may get less 1% vs putting FD 3.25%.
Maxis giving generous dividend but unsubstantial. if you follow the maxis news - maxis may not generous giving in 2015.
Understand the risk when buying now; future when MAXIS cant give generous dividend: the risk share can fall down.

this Q&A more on stock general info.
Pls start reading at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/596903 and post more specific question.
You may try Reits https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3119344 better than FD also hv a risk

There not shorcut to gain money without do homework and understand the risk. rclxub.gif

My company is going to allocate some shares to me most probably next year.
I have opened a CDS account via maybank investment bank.
I would like to ask if I hold on to the shares, will there be any maintenance fee or annual fee that I have to pay if I want to hold for long term(5 years or more)?
Also, how do I transfer money to my investment account or is it taken from my savings account?
*
No charges to keep your stock even long term. You require to pay rm10 top open a cds account.

Transfer what money?

You meanz want to sell and get the money. You call remiser to sell for you or online click to sell ownself.
Ditto you want to buy, made sure you bank in the money.

mind to share ur company name

Bro felix

beginner here

I have a cds account with maybank investment bank

want to know what are the commissions like?

They provide me a remiser contact and should i use that ?

anyway to buy stocks by passing that remiser (extra charges?)

thanks !
*
Ur CDS is Direct cash type or Nominee CDS?(Not mistake margin type has different broker fee)

Call your remiser to ask the rate. Im not accurate..becoz i buy and keep freezer type.

Those play short will calc precise buy and sell to made profit therefore the lowest the better.

If you ask remiser to buy/sell for you their Broker fee is standard 0.42%.

You buy thru online therefore is 0.1% or min rm8.(Direct CDS cash type and nominee Cds).

FYI i whack vmad.gif remiser when he said i write mine address wrong..more like they see wrong and key wrong.

They Deserve mine whakc they push their mistake to client.

Thanks Gark.

I follow the interest rate - currency exchange rate relationship.

But ...

Overvalued means in high demand. If in high demand, then its value should be getting stronger than the US$. But A$ was dropping relative to US$ (like our RM).

Sorry for being such a slow learner, just cannot follow the overvalued and the drop in A$.

Thanks.

plan to put money in Indo FD.

Dear all, i see that WingTM has a rights issue but i don't understand how it works.

ExDate : 4 Aug. Entitlement date : 6 Aug
Renounceable rights issue of up to 164,195,066 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Wing Tai Malaysia Berhad ("Wing Tai" or "Company") ("Shares") ("Rights Shares") on the basis of one (1) Rights Share for every two (2) existing Shares held by the entitled shareholders on 6 August 2015 at 5.00 p.m.

1) If i buy 1000 shares on 3.8.15, i will be entitled to 500 rights?
2) I have a nominee CDS account. How do I exercise the right? Will i receive any documents? Will it appear in my online CDS account?
3) If I don't exercise the rights, i will lose money because the share price would drop dt dilution. That means if i don't plan to exercise the rights, i should sell it off?

Thanks in advace smile.gif

Question 2:
Nominee CDS you don't need to the paperwork yourself and send the form thru post laju.

All can be done thru call, your broker will do everything.
Juz need to pay. Kacang putih.

*
open CDS is rm 10.

broker don't manage your money to trade....and once CDS open assign IB will assign you Broker to assist you in minor problem..like login and check acc balance.
