thats bcos the display unit is myr650. topup a little can buy mi3
I did purchase the mi3. Just that the Lumia 920 i bought was just a year++ and it cost rm15xx that time. If there is a place that i could get it fix below +-RM300, i'll definitely send to that shop
Hey guys, just opening up this thread so that anyone who wanna repair their lumias without warranty can just come in and ask for suggestion
Pffft, having problem with my lumia 920, every shop stating that Lumia is not worth to repair (Working phone with no display)
Do leave a suggestion on where to get Lumias fix
Sorry to hear that your 920 is having problem, if you are someone that uses the camera a lot I know no phone out there can replace it. (other than its successor)
why not send back in to nokia service center? can ask for quote before repairing.

Distant from my house to the nearest Nokia service center is kinda far, so its better for me to ask around here first before sending there for enquires.. Phone shop around my area quote me around RM500, maybe thats the best price for display replacement...
Gonna miss my Lumy Died upon me just after few month past the warranty

I ordered the display from ebay for Rm270 and replace it myself. The downside is the display is not oem part thus having few quality issues such as:
-noticeable digitizer. can see shining grid of dots when light hit at certain angle -bluish tint; can be adjusted with display setting but still doesn't look like original part -sticky surface. I don't like to use screen protector so it's noticeable to silky smooth screen of original
The replacement process is not so hard but can be tedious when some clips are very tricky to remove. Some components on the board are not soldered so when flicking the board around they may fall off. Just need to remember to put them back later.
LalaluSan My previous original display have yellow spot issue and since I'm still using the phone I'm not willing to let go of the display yet. I know there's some people already replace the display themselves due to same reason as mine. If your goal is just to get the phone usable you may ask around in Nokia Malaysia facebook group if they are willing to let go their's.

Same here, they quote the price too high =_= Lumia 1520-RM750 change all, bcoz 1520 screen connect to all the chips n the is no big board under the hood to contain all the small chips, thus, the lcd itself attach to all the parts, lots of job they say..
