Just googled around and make a roughly quality and performance of VRM of AM4 mobo, in traits, seems powerphase design and quality of VRM effect the thermal.

Heat should about same becoz of vrm design 6+2x2 vs 4x2+2x2, more expensive for gigabyte x370 may caused by VRM price onboard, gigabyte auros using germany infineon compared to asrock k4 china sinosemi/taiwan nicosemi.
