Sure got, sell cheap sure got customer  tongue.gif

Comes to thinking about Nexus 6. Market leading spec:
6" AMOLED with QHD ( no need tablet now )
S805 3GB RAM ( future proof again )
32/64GB storage ( FINALLY more videos and loseless song )
13MP ( sounds low but megapixel was nothing in eyes of photographer ) f2 lens with OIS ( these are killer ) Sony IMX241 sensor ( as in OPO/Mi4 )
3200mAh ( can ditch power bank )
Alu body build, Moto build quality, dual front facing stereo speaker, water resistant ( premium features )
Moto turbo charger included ( no more overnight charging )
*
Meh, battery still too small for the screen size and that massive resolution will kill the battery. I dont know why people say 'future proof' when it using latest SoC. This isn't a PC, its a phone.

Me poor guy, no TV in living room  sweat.gif
I'm worry about display size and resolution too, but compare to N5's 5" IPS 1080P but 2300mAh, this is large improvement.

Future proof, means still capable in future ( 2-3 years maybe ), powerful processor capable of running future OS available in 2-3 years. QHD, LTE, large storage all given the phone capability to sustain foreseeable future needs.

Yes we cant predict future, but hey my PC rig with 2600K ( I'm not even need to OC yet ) hyperX ram and 660TI OC still capable of running 2014 games in full resolution and high setting ( if not highest ) smoothly.
*

But they put a much higher resolution display and bigger display. It will offset the bigger battery, you'll see. I dont know when will these stupid trend will end. 720p is more than enough for phone even on 6 inch.

Kit Kat already reduce the memory requirement from 1GB to 512MB so the future proof thing on phone is just redundant. And moved to Lolipop with using ART will make things smoother on lesser spec phone. Android update depends on manufacturer and to some extend developer not the spec of the phone. Like I said this isnt Windows on desktop PC, its a mobile phone.

if using 3A, then existing 1.8A nexus wireless charging pad cannot use already  rclxub.gif
*

Who say so? It will work but slower charging rate. With 3amps of current people will flood the forum about their Nexus being dead in few months, weeks even. I'm not fond of this fast charging, it just kills the battery faster. Just read on Oppo forum about their phone with fast charging.

I accidentally dirty flash from 4.4.4 to latest 5.0 and it worked! Home button didn't work, pulldown notification doesn't work and there is no date and such but I find a solution. Fire up adb and type this

adb shell am start -n com.google.android.setupwizard/.SetupWizardTestActivity

Now it work like clockwork

I've compared the newest L preview with stock 4.4.4. For some reason I feel that the animation is smooth but slow at the same time. On the other hand, battery saver makes all the animation stutters.
*
No battery saver disable almost all animations apart from scrolling and pulldown notification. I am testing it now to see how good Google implementation of battery saver really is.

Been a crazy weekend. Flash over Android 5.0 Lollopop twice and revert back to KK  rclxub.gif  Root seems to be work on 2nd try, but Helium still crash, cant restore apps  cry.gif
*
My root doesn't seem to stick either, Titanium Backup reported it doesn't have permission, even though I already grant it and reinstalling it. But it doesn't matter because I dirty flash it from 4.4.4 so all the apps and data still there tongue.gif

Looks like there are test build for Android L on twitter, that one works like a charm. Now there are no more reason for me to go back to 4.4.4. The battery saving really do wonders on battery life at the expense of system smoothness but that's to be expected.

EDIT: I tried the new L camera apps that got manual exposure control (ISO, shutter speed) and RAW format. Although sluggish and crashes once in awhile it does work!

Talking about ads its getting RIDICULOUS. Watching video got ads, browsing got ads, playing games got ads. Wha the actual chocolate fudge?

Only thing I want is custom kernel. I been using stock ROM anf stock launcher from now on. Even wallpaper is stock.

Got root? Then install adaway, mod your own host file.
No root = root please.
*
I already mod the hosts files but some games still got it, done it manually as well. There are a thread on xda on custom hosts files, moab adblocking if Im not mistaken.

u wanna bought it for repairing or just for the spare parts?
*
A bit of both. After using Lollipop for a while I don't think I ever gonna use another phone without it. I thinking of doubling up the battery, just checked all the circuitry it easy as peanuts to hook up two batteries

Good!

Btw, I'm using TWRP recovery and I asked last time why I couldn't update to the latest android version via OTA and I remember you mentioned I can't because of my custom recovery. So I have to flash manually instead right...like using those links in XDA for the latest versions...
*
Yup download the ZIP file in vomer thread, download all zip and follow the sequence. It should work like clockwork

just restore my nandroid

Those guys using 2G/WiFi with very low usage (whatsapp only) hence the good battery life. No matter how good a kernel or modding it is not a cure for small capacity battery.
