Lolz I don't know. Ask the company la. Oh well but company shouldn't be advising their employees to use secure encrypted rooted-phone-not-allowed app on personal phones. They should provide it to them. Well that my 2 cents.
*
Well, BYOD was that you use own phone for company business, which I wont do it. Dont work when you're off work, if possible la biggrin.gif

I dont really recommend Nexus to anyone that hasnt enough knowledge to Android. Like you said, need kernel and ROM tweak to have good battery life, need good app for better camera experience, need custom apps to fill up your personal need etc.

so far only 1 of my fren using nexus5, the rest all comon phone like samsung s3/note3,s5,xiaomi mi3 , minote. colleague ask me what phone to buy i only recommend them comon product like xiao mi if no budet, or samsung if "no budget", why? cause i know every 1 want easy to get casing lah and sp and good service. so far these 2 brand service record still good base on my experience.

that day deal with a forumrer here i was surprise that she also using red nexus 5... i was like kind of salute... no offense to ladies but i hardly see any ladies using this phone...
*
Ladies N5 users, I didnt encounter before. Ladies N4 users, a lot. I guess mostly due to N4 did officially launch here and it's significantly cheaper than other Android flagship.

Haha. For flashholics, yes please do! But the ladies might be interested more in the Nexus 6. The bigger the better. That's what she said. If you know what I mean.
*
My guess, 4.7" or 5" is already large than lady hand, so might as well goes larger, in contrast to their ultra size bag that could store whole makeup kit and dog and cat and their bf tongue.gif

Also, if you've been following this N5 thread (way way earlier versions), only you'll get my reference to mudkipryan94 wink.gif

I wish there is similar design car holder for Nexus Charging Pad, like SmartFit2 for WCP-300.
PA users, 4.6 Beta 4 release, Flash!!! Flash!!! Flash!!!

The change log:
- Make all Quick Settings tiles act similarly in edit mode
- Add a new default AOSPA wallpaper
- Improve speed and stability of the core
- Adapt to the Peek standalone application package name change

Maybe it's just me but since they released it and since I've tested it the first time, never fond of it. Not sure if I'm gonna like the new L recent  cry.gif (I really like the mini version like now)
*
I do like it, Chrome-like. However I do get used to current one, where latest apps at bottom, nearest to your thumb and thus easiest to access. Hopes Android L was smooth.

Sure consume more battery.

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Oct 9 2014, 05:56 PM)
will it slow down the phone ?
*
Very slight little, if you're using nexus then no issue, if Samsung then might be obvious.

want nexus in Z3c body + G3 camera #keepdreaming

when is the nexus event? it's coming soon isn't it?
*
IMO there's one phone was so close to become ideal Nexus, LG G3. I was so close to get it, only let down is QHD matching with S801, random lagness. If it has 1080P with S801, or QHD with S805, with pure stock ROM brows.gif

anyone using Metal bumper frame Case? good? thinking to get 1........
*
I used it before, not the cramp lock but screw lock. Really nice as it's super light weight ( as in barebone ), you still access to all button and back like naked phone. Only downside is it does affect signal strength a little bit, I had no issue outside with 3G or LTE, but in my house's toilet where WiFi signal was barely 1bar, it sometimes caused my phone to drop out of WiFi. That was like very slight affect.
Another issue, it might ( and did ) damage your phone. My N5's back and side had permanent damage caused by hard aluminium contact.

What sort of damage did the case do? I thought most house toilets have weaker WiFi signals...  blink.gif
*
Hahaha guess so since most toilet was furthest away and with at least 2-3 wall from WiFi. But since signal drop was so little, I only able to notice in my toilet where 10% strength drop to 3% ( just my imagine scale )
Damage was like scratch, imagine you press hard sharp metal against the soft touch plastic. Now had to use back Slim Armor case to hide the damage cry.gif

It's just me, but that side (the screw/clamp is) is an absolute turn off for me. Sad case.
I like aluminium bumper, not a fan of tpu ones.
*
It's a bit intrusive TBH, did some light damage to my jeans ( no kidding ) I do willing to make that trade off for super slim bumper.

Thanks to Lord Duarte, IMO we now have an eye-pleasing OS, as opposed to those awful-looking UI from pre-Gingerbread days

How did you manage to update it? mine did not auto-update and state it was up to date  doh.gif
*
Either you sideload apk, or wait for it to update. Apps update doesnt sync to all users at the same time, will do it in batch. Normally it will update within few days, so no rush.
