Yes, not fixed, it is more to a design flaw and I don't think it will get fixed because if they fix it in newer batches then they will have to honor warranty claims for the existing owners as well.
Can't agree more, after comparing the OPO and N5 side by side, I decided the only main benefit I can get for the OPO is the battery life and decided to put the money to a better use. The OPO is great but since I already have a N5, I couldn't justify the need to splash out money for the OPO yet.
*
Haha your thoughts was exactly the same as mine before this. But I just pulled the trigger. If I think more I won't get to try it Hahaha.

But yeah seriously, I only see battery life. I don't like CM, I despise OnePlus method. But yeah i bought it in the end. haha. somehow i'm looking forward to next Nexus AND OnePlus Two~

QUOTE(kllam @ Sep 24 2014, 07:47 PM)
Yeah. There is no need to be so extreme and fanboy behaviour is becoming like those fanboy of a certain fruit brand. Different ppl have different needs, we choose and buy a phone according to our needs. After more than 2 weeks with both phone i still prefer my N5 cos there is a certain smoothness than u can't find on a 1+1. Both a good phones, just the i like feel that my N5 gave me. Before this i did thought of changing my N5 for the 1+1

The one i am waiting is the next Nexus
*
Right? People in 1+ either never use them side by side or never own a Nexus probably that's why they kinda agitated when I mention N5 in there.

The smoothness level is different. I just feel it. Can't be explained. Which I'm sure you also do. Most other phones are smooth these days, but not Nexus smooth. Even multitasking, typing in browsers. I can feel it.

Honestly I only see battery life. hhaha.

and I'm not counting much on Project Volta's battery life. Unless they do something about Google Play Services. Hahaha. for me now, I trust bigger batteries rather than optimizations. haha. look at Apple, used to be good in battery with small capacity, then introduce multitasking die edy.

Ridiculously huge - they should just activate the phone feature on the n7
*
Hahahah this is funny. For 6 inch they should score 3600mah at least to be able to drag me in. For other phones of course. But its a Nexus. Cant really resist. Well i take any bigger batteries anytime as long as the phone can still fit in my pocket. Nexus 7 kenot edy though. Became troublesome.

Haha but apparently as much as I like if they have the option like Nexus 5 size, I'll take the bigger one for the sake of battery size. I have become a battery life addict.

And n5 is light also. I can use it longer and not feeling any cramps or tiredness with my fingers.

QUOTE(DarkonGaron @ Sep 27 2014, 12:41 AM)
come to think of it, these few days google play service keeps trigger wakelock on my phone (don't know what it is trying to sync, just sync halfway and stuck there throughout the night without realizing), which has never happen before even with auto sync data and location reporting on. any of you guys experience this?
*
they are trying to trigger an ALARM signal to get your location.

Quoted from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/mod...elocks-t2853874

QUOTE
I still get a ton of Wakelocks showing up in BetterBatteryStats
Short version: Those aren't really wakelocks. You can ignore them. Please go check in WakeLock Detector, and you'll see that they don't show up there.

Long version: Admittedly, I don't know *exactly* why they're showing up in BBS, but not in Wakelock Detector. I did a ton of testing today and can confirm that my device showed 988 NlpWakeLocks in BBS, but only 20 in WLD. During that time, I also had logcat running and a custom hook in the Android stats code. Logcat didn't show any of those phantom wakelocks, the Android stats code doesn't record them, NlpUnbounce doesn't see them, and WLD doesn't see them. BBS is [awesomely] open source, so I went digging a bit. I don't see anything obviously wrong in the code, but for some reason it's getting the counts wrong. Here's the interesting piece: It's getting the TIME SPENT in the wakelocks correct. That's why you see something absurd like 2000 wakelocks and only 6 seconds of lock time. If it were really that many wakelocks, your lock time would be much, much higher.

Camera is good, in fact I think it's quite good, although had to admit Google camera app/software is really not so good, had to use HDR+ mode for consistent white balance.  Battery life, is so so, mediocre, you must tweak kernel gao gao to have good enough battery life.
*
I can't for the love of god get good pictures with Oneplus One. I mean for point and shoot of course.

For amateur like me, i got better camera results with Nexus 5. I don't know why. I'm a noob so photographers please dun flame me. IMO the lack of OIS in OnePlus One really makes the different even though 13MP vs 8MP. Cuz Nexus 5 pictures looks sharper when zoomed in.

I have kinda shaky hands and the pictures or moments i love to take involves movements, so no OIS kinda messed it up since you have to be very still to take good pictures with One Plus.

Ok now that i confirm Nexus 5 camera is quite good, Nexus 5's battery life is the only thing left for me to complaint.

And though, I love OnePlus battery life, i kept using Nexus 5 more(after 1 week priotizing the new phone OnePlus) these few days.

Maybe cuz it is smaller and smoother? maybe camera is better(for me). Hmmm. If nexus 6 is 6inch ar... its kinda big now that i felt both size edy.

From what I read and understand, CM camera software was not so good, same issue with Nexus, bad camera software.
You might get attacked here as well  whistling.gif  because N5 camera wasnt lousy, just bad software.
*
Haha yeah of course because of the Software but the lousy N5 took better shots. Haha.

I think i know which person cos i once saw his reply to u asking u to explain. Haha...

Overall user experience, the smoothness of a nexus is not found on that phone. Thats what i experience with both phone. Its just overated with so much hype the company created
*
Haha right? Using it side by side made me realize that. If you only use 1 phone, of course you will say 1+ is the smoothest.

Because last week, my usage is mostly on opo, then battery about to die, I have to charge it and continue browsing with Nexus 5. Straight away I felt the difference.

Thanks for the advice  smile.gif I'm not sure though, one is LG and one is Motorola. To be honest, I haven't used Motorola for a while how are they now ?
*
Bought Moto G for my sister, solid phone. biggrin.gif

Throw throw also did not break. Very sturdy. And my sister used to only look for those high end expensive phones cuz she said more quality. End up she praises the Moto G performance and durability.

Moto is good. They are just an underground Android superior.

so do you recommend to buy Nexus 5 or wait for Nexus 6 ?

Actually since you are asking this, I believe you can wait so just wait. Else if urgently need a phone you wont ask wait or not. The question would be different, this phone or other phones?

Hahaha. I never looked at specs when I see Nexus logo, I'm all over it. Haha.

But 6 inch.. Hmmm. How can I carry Nexus 6 and OnePlus One anymore.. But being 6 inch why can't they cramp 3500mah at least. Haha. It's the biggest among other flagship maaaa..

Maybe back to 1 phone army again and give oneplus to my sister.

It makes sense tho. Apple have a phablet, Samsung have it, HTC and Sony have it. Why not. They can also push both N5 and N6 at the same time. Maybe bumped N5 specs and battery together for those complaining about the battery?

There's one phone ( well it's phablet ) Huawei Ascend Mate 7, a 6" IPS 1080P with aluminium uni-body and 4100mAh battery  83% screen body ratio  drool.gif  If only it was S805, and have AOSP ROM then that's a killer.
*
Yeah heard bout it. Monster! That's why n6 should at least made it to 3500mah. 3200mah is like 5.5-5.7 inch phablet battery size.

But who knows, I might need to play with it first. X kenal maka x cinta. Hahah.

Best-feeling Nexus is a bare naked Nexus. No case whatsoever. There's a reason Google slapped a badass NEXUS logo one the back. Its the identity, the alter ego, personality.

Cases are for sissies, hipsters, iphone users etc

Ouch.
*
Exactly! I only notice few hairline scratches at the back of my N5.no case since purchase. But it really need to be abused real hard to get those scratches. Won't visible unless in certain su light conditions.

Front, no scratches! No case no SP ftw!
