Hi, may I know if a maxis number starts from 0126.... where is it from?

As I know 0122... or 0123... is a central number....


what about 0126?

6 also central ... mostly for Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.

2 and 3 are more to KL and Selangor. Some of the 9 are considered as central and also for KL and Selangor.

basically 2,3,6,9 all also central, they dun class em base on state

Some of 9 are dedicated for East Coast states; Kelantan Terengganu and Pahang.

Originally it was divided according to states or regions but the demands for Central region is escalating, thus some of the 9 numbers are converted to Central. 2, 3, 6 and portion of 9 are Central.

That number will be mostly considered as Central Region. But it doesn't really matter now as Hotlink is using One Country, One Rate ... the same call rate for calls to any 012/017. 39cents/min for Talk Plan and 50cents/min for SMS plan.

mine was 0125 from ipoh leh

4 and 5 are considered Northern ... Kedah, Perlis, Penang and Perak.

6 is definitely central

yes, 9 is quite common in KL.

Certain people using 017-8XXXXXX,but it's a central number. Those number are from ex Adam's number

Hotlink One Country, One Rate is only for calls made to any 012/017 numbers. Under Talk Plan, it'll be 39cents/min and under SMS Plan, it'll be 50cents/min.

Yup, this is what I want to confirm with you. So, your statement as 'why bother?' is because it's only for calls from maxis to maxis. Don't say that we will never call any number other than Maxis. So, we have to BOTHER ABOUT THE PREFIX.

As far as I know, this should be the prefix according to the region. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyone knows the prefix for Celcom (013/019), Maxis (017), & 014(celcom & maxis)???

Even if you make calls to other numbers; calls are just divided to local, adjacent and non-adjacent calls.

Warning to Celcom prepaid user! If you guys don't know what is the region that non celcom number that you plan to call,don't use direct celcom to make call. Buy a Voip card to call. This is due to celcom's rate daw kaw gila with the rates of Rm2.60/min for non adjacent zone!
Maxis and digi both already reduce outstation call to Rm 1.20/min only Celcom still stuborn maintain it at Rm 2.60

Last time i bought this with the price RM168 .. it started with 012-6XXXXXX Central..

any no start from 6 is malaaca, including digi, and celcom.
i am from malacaca, so it is true.
besides that, everyone i know in malacca use 012-6xxxxxx or 016-6xxxxxx
respectively. the one in kl is might be slip to KL juz bc the no is beutiful^_^

Yup 0126 is from Malacca....but Malacca/KL/Selangor/Negeri Sembilan are considered as central....

Just to confirm whether it's worth using the number in KL coz afraid of extra charges

yup..like 0129 are slip thru because they are such beauty numbers..
first they were all at the eastern region, because no buyer there, so they shipped all to KL, and hence, here is heaven for beauty number maniac..

just out of curiosity, once upon a time, 2 or 3 originates from central zone. so 3 is selangor or KL or both?
