i know, thats why now im thinking if i should buy physical gold, be it jewelry or gold bullion. Buy from wah chan/poh kong and sell to them . but im not sure the gap/spread for physical gold buy and sell. can anyone enlighten me? appreciate the helps u guys can provide to me

This old timer finds buying bullion form UOB SUCKS.
Now, they tell me only their HQ in KL will accept buybacks. No branch will accept the bullions.
I gave the manager a piece of my mine. I told him that their website does not say so! 

Mine are all in their capsules together with UOB certificates from 23 years ago.

Gold is up becos of geopolitics, de$, possibly some firm of global monetary reset. The gurus think we're into the 3rd year, 3-5 more to go before it's settled.

Silver is driven by supply deficit & paper trade manipulation, about to collapse. There's still backwardation of >$1 now. When physical silver price takes over, it will gap up. So, when silver bars become available again, price wud likely be much higher. Too bad, I also can't find more silver to buy.

when i saw the new stocks, there were a variety of 10 oz, about 30 of them; and 1 oz, about 20 of them.
i noticed about half were sold within 1 hour; all gone in 3 hours. ( the last time i saw new stocks, all sold out within 3 hours).
