Maribor was a game worth losing sleep over,and it was delightful to watch ake and solanke getting game time.it'll make them work even harder,imho. Pity remy,i think his finish was the best of the match and i'm sure he would've gotten more if he didn't strain his groin.

Zouma would love more games like that,but like everyone else, i agree he wasn't fully tested.

Tipping hazard to shine vs utd,and i have this strong feeling of wanting to test oscar in the false nine position .  His constant closing down and workrate will give their defenders nightmares,while hazard and willian go to work down the flanks, cutting in.

Slotting in drogs will increase the likelihood of us hitting long passes for him to chest down,and i don't think this is the type of gameplay we're building on this year. My vote goes to a younger,more athletic false nine,provided we don't pay them too much respect like we did last season,when schurrle looked lost and outnumbered playing upfront.

Has to be said though,with cesc in the team, whoever's our CF /makeshift CF is guaranteed a certain level of service from the pass master. That in itself can ensure it'll be a much,much different game compared to last time
