Excellent win....can wait for next weekend now. Hopefully Remy starts this midweek, with Costa rested for the Arsenal game.

Definitely Costa will skip the midweek game. JM even said he barely trains in between weekend matches.

I'm glad Willian got a goal. He should start making a habit of it. I keep forgetting he used to be the dangerous AM for the great Donetsk side. Now what comes to mind when I think of him is just a pair of legs. We've yet to see the best of him in a blue shirt.

iva need to be rested for this match. sunday need to mark sanchez. costa also need to be rested.

i think this line up will be good enough vs sporting:

cech
dave cahill terry filipe
matic fabregas
salah schurrle hazard
remy

sub hazard + fabregas at 60min or 70min.
*
Salah+Schrulle risky, replace either one with Mikel/Oscar. Willian might get the nod too.

lmao, i also wondered why you guys call him remy ishak... lololol

anyways, if wasnt for the Schalke result, Remy would start, but i think we are more desperate to get our first CL win this time around so Costa might start. If he does, hopefully the match is won early so he can be replaced. Costa Starts - JM

And sorry but no Drog start vs Arsenal. I know its one of his fav opponents, but i don't see it being more than a 2nd half cameo. He's still has some way to go before he can start a PL game.

Same XI with Willian and Oscar will do. thumbup.gif
Since no Ramires, the more conservative line up would be Mikel alongside Matic and Fabregas, which ain't too shabby either.

if use willian, defense +1, attack +0
if use schurrle, defense +0, attack +1

i prefer schurrle start for his attacking threat. his run will be vital.

willian come on once we get comfortable lead.
*
Willian > Schrulle based on form. Although I prefer Schrulle style more, Willian had a better performance than him in each of their respective outings.

Half time. When we have possession, we dont look dangerous enuff. Juz depending on Hazard's dribble to break thru the defense. Schurrle was a bit poor. Maybe Willian would've been abetter choice with his dribble.

While Arsenal, altho they have less possession, but when in possession i feel they look moree dangerous. Wilshere, Cazorla and Sanchez all is gud runner n dribbler.

Gud to have the lead after first half, i dun mind if we park the bus in d 2nd half. 1-0, 3 points against Arsenal, fantastic result. But of coz a few more goals is nice. brows.gif

Happy birthday to Diego Costa, now only I know he and I sharing the same brithday. Lel.

Btw, Roberto Di Matteo is the new manager of Schalke FC (not official yet). Jens Keller has been axed by the club. So we will face our former manager later in Champions League fixture away at Veltins-Arena.

Happy birthday bro!

sigh..
so hard for him. especially when he didn't do anything wrong. coming on as a sub also look so strong.
but can't keep him locked away forever... easily be a 1st choice keeper in any other club for years.

yea.. the timing isnt perfect between Tbo and Cech. I guess Cech have to leave soon if he wants to secure No.1 jersey elsewhere. sad.gif

what if.. Cahill + Varane?  icon_idea.gif

but i am hoping Cahill + Kalas. unfortunately that kid not getting his games at FC Koln.
Seven games into Koln's season, Kalas has yet to start, played no minutes, warmed the benches three times and has been excluded from the first-team squad four times in league play.

damn kesian weyh, hard for defenders to get minutes unless they're starting XI. Would be a crucial year wasted if his fate continues like this.

I honestly don't see any reason to sign more first team players, unless there are players moving the other way. Even if we sell Mikel and Rami, we still have MVG and Romeu. We need to sort them out, either sell them or keep them, before we look at other players. Same goes with defenders, the likes of Kalas and Zouma, we still yet to see more of them before we can make decisions on them. Depends whether we are considering only proven talents, if yes then we should forget about seeing our academy players playing for the senior squad.

2nd Gunners incoming ? tongue.gif

I do think that at time Chelsea is greedy to keep some talent and lost them later on, base on the market demand.

I do agree with this, we tend to saturate our youth bank, but we only sell them for profit to buy better first team players, not the other way round
