Went to astro today to upgrade our beyond decoder to pvr decoder. Coz my family wanna record some series and programmes. -we only subscribed the cheap package one, rm90 per month.

The cs told me, in order to install the new pvr, our house must have at least 4Mbps internet connection (streamyx /unifi) to do the 1st set-up for the pvr. Which we dont have.
She asked if my phone can get 4Mbps, so that we can use wifi hotspot from my phone. Nahhh, internet connection at my house is really sucks. Most of the time only 3g. Cannot achieve 4Mbps.

So, we cannot upgrade our beyond decoder to pvr decoder as we dont have 4Mbps internet connection to do the set-up for pvr decoder. Sighhh.

Not to record. But just to set-up the pvr box during installation, that one need 4Mbps internet connection. Only for installation, after that can just use the pvr decoder without internet.
