Damn you astro. I call want terminate but they tell my contract until july 2017. If still want need to pay the bills until july 2017. Apparently they offered me last year to change my decoder and didnt tell my contract will be renewed.

Really evil plan. I bet somewhere july last year would be my last contract and they offer the decoder. I bet also july next year they will call me and offering something again just to tie my contract again.

Anyway, anybody got way to overcome problem like me? Want to terminate but still in contract?

Last saturday went to astro centre to terminate my astro. Was told the penalty was RM240 because I still have contract until July 2017 and also need to pay another one month bill for their "30 days notice" thing. So still can watch astro until next month and then need to return back the decoder, remote and smartcard. Failure to return also will cost another penalty.

So bye2 astro. Hehe

Note: for those who want to terminate, can pm astro facebook and tell your story. They will calculate the penalty and guide you how to terminate. Their replies quite fast and the calculated figure also consistent with the service center

Dont think astro will price down anytime soon. Maybe with another player coming in. I worked at what u can call remote area in sabah for 5 years and almost every each of the kampung house there has astro lol. They have no choice there.

But im already cut the cord already. Will return the box back this weekend. Never been happier.
