No need. It's included within the pack.

Are u sure about this? I am superpack user and when I browse the VOD selection, there is some content with the $ sign and a 'Buy' option. I never dare press 'Buy'. I was interested in some movies and WWE content.

Just an update on the new football season and which leagues are shown and which are now missing.

As it stands, the French Ligue 1 is now missing for its second week from the normal channel Supersport 2 (ch811). Looks like it has been pulled from Astro.

One LYN member has posted on my regular live matches thread that the Italian Serie A will also not be shown on Astro this season, though I cannot confirm this yet as the season only starts next week. Will update it here.

For all of your information, the German Bundesliga is now on Fox Sports(Ch812) and Fox Sports 2 (Ch813) as well as Fox Sports HD (CH832).

The Dutch Eridivise, which was previously on Fox Sport and Fox Sports 2, is now on Fox Sports 3 (Ch818).

Spanish La Liga remains on Fox Sports and Fox Sports 2 and starts next weekend.

And for those who follow the Barclays Premier League, the usual main Sunday match at 11.00pm (4pm kickoff in the UK), will now be on Astro Supersport 3, meaning those who are using HyppTV will not get to see these matches anymore as you only have Astro Supersport and Supersport 2 but not Supersport 3. As it stands, those who use HyppTV, will not get any matches on Sunday as the first match on Sunday is on Fox Sports and the second will be on Supersport 3. Only on certain Sundays when there are more than these two matches, will Astro show matches on either Supersport or Supersport 2.

Just to update on my post from last week.

There is NO Italian Serie A on any channels on Astro this weekend as mentioned by one member of LYN on my thread last week. This weekend, Serie A season started and it isnt on Astro

French Ligue 1 is also missing for the 3rd week running so that pretty much confirms that Astro is not showing it.

But what is a shock is that Spanish La Liga is also not shown! Previously, it was shown on Fox Sports and Fox Sports 2 but as the season has started this weekend, not one match is shown and Fox Sports have not been advertising it at all.

To summarise the leagues that Astro is covering for this season, compared to last season:

Barclays Premier League (of course still there)
German Bundesliga - Last season Astro Supersport - this season Fox Sports
Italian Serie A - Last season Astro Supersport 4 - this season not shown
Spanish La Liga - Last season Fox Sports - this season not shown so far
French Ligue 1 - Last season Astro Supersport 2 - this season not shown
Dutch Eridivise - Last season Fox Sports - this season Fox Sports 3
English SkyBet Championship - Last season Astro Supersport 2 - this season not shown so far
English Capital One League Cup - Last season shown from Round 1, this season Round 1 not shown and Round 2 and will also not be shown
Champions League - Last season all of Astro Supersport channels, this season same

So as you can see, there are 3 leagues that are missing. 2 held by Astro last season and one held by Fox Sports. Haven't checked Astro's FB but I would think fans of thse league would be mad. Price hike but content reduced.

beIN Sports extends European football across the US
| 20 August 2015
beIN Sports has renewed its exclusive broadcast rights for three of the top football leagues in the world - Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A and France's Ligue 1 - and will deliver them across the US from the 2015-2016 season.
Renewing its bet on international football , all matches will be available on beIN Sports, beIN Sports en EspaƱol and beIN Sports Connect, the network's live streaming platform.
"We at beIN SPORTS are thrilled to announce the renewal of these three great competitions, and we are very happy that we will continue to provide sports fans with the world's best sporting events," said Yousef Al-Obaildly, deputy CEO of beIN Media Group. "With so many exclusive live matches, beIN SPORTS continues to provide the content that passionate soccer and sports fans crave."
Ready to kick off tomorrow (21 August), La Liga is the top football league in Spain, with star-studded talent including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, James Rodriguez and Luis Suarez.
Serie A, Italy's first division, also kicks off this weekend. The top matches to watch this season include three-time defending champions Juventus who face last year's runner up Roma on 30August, as well as the Milan Derby, on 13 September.
France's Ligue 1 started on 7 August and features the rivalry between Olympique Marseille and three-time defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona, the reigning European champions, start their La Liga title defence with revenge on their minds when they visit Athletic Bilbao on Monday morning (Singapore time).
The match will be an opportunity for Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Co. to put an ever-improving Bilbao side in their place, after Ernesto Valverde's men posted a 5-1 aggregate victory over Luis Enrique's aristocrats in the Spanish Super Cup.
It is a potentially explosive encounter, but football fans in Singapore will not be able to watch it on TV.
Fox Sports Asia, which has had the local rights to the Spanish top flight since 2012, was not successful in securing a deal this time around. The channel, which is available on both StarHub and Singtel TV, will not screen any La Liga matches this season.
The New Paper understands that the Asian rights to the league were secured by beIN Sports, which does not have a channel in Singapore. Owned by Qatari Sports Investments, beIN is a global network of sports channels founded in 2012.
When contacted, a spokesman for Fox Sports said: "Fox Sports has been officially informed by (Spanish communications group) Mediapro that it has not been successful in renewing its broadcast rights to the Liga BBVA in Singapore.
DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE ONLY WAY FOR ASTRO TO BROADCAST LA LIGA, SERIE A AND LIGUE 1 IS BY STRIKING A DEAL WITH BEIN SPORT?
*
Not exactly. All leagues have their own different deals across all regions. For example, the article above states that that deal covers the US. In the UK, SkySports have recently secured the rights for Spanish La Liga while the German, French and Italian leagues are held by btSport.

So each region have its own deal with the respectuve league. TheAstro-EPL deal in place right now is due to run out at the end of this season and I guess Astro are trying to put all their money to secure the rights for the next three seasons hence why they have dropped the SerieA and French Ligue. I do still think the Spanish La Liga will come back in a few weeks time as La Liga rights with SkySports was just recently renewed. Dont thi the French Ligue 1 and SerieA will be on Astro though. This is just like when they were renewing the rigtys for NBA but after the season started a few years back.

Just to update.

It looks like Astro will not be showing the English Capital One League Cup this season too.

So Astro only have the rights to the Bpl, Champions League and Europa League. Looks like they are saving their money to win the new rights for the next 3seasons of d BPL which is coming soon.

The list of leagues Astro have dropped:
1. Italian Serie A
2. French Ligue 1
3. English League Championship.
4. English Capital One League Cup.
5. Spanish La Liga - Previous rights was with Fox Sports
6. German Bundesliga - dropped by Astro, picked up by Fox Sports

How about Singapore? Has La Liga made its way to Starhub or Singtel?

BTW the excitement is rather short lived as Astro brings only selected La Liga matches, unlike it's BPL's broadcast rights. So far, they show La Liga on Astro Supersport 3/HD. I guess they can't afford the exorbitant rate charged by beIN Sports to get access to all matches.
*
Not really. They have taken the Saturday nite 10/11pm off from the BPL starting this weekend and show La Liga. All Saturday nite from that timeslot until 6am, got back to back La Liga games. Same with Sunday. The amount of Live matches Astro Supersport 3 are showing this weekend is same as to what Fox Sports were showing last season. But Fox Sports used 2 channels for it. Hence they showed more.

So now Supersport 2 and Supersport 4 is not home to any specific football leagues.
